Excellent Knife at a great price!
I did my research on DC53 steel. It’s tough, has excellent edge retention and better corrosion resistance than D2 steel. Knife came super sharp! The knife also throws great sparks from a ferro rod. The sheath is too big for every day carry, so it will stay in my pack until I’m in the field. However, this thing will baton like a champion compared to all the other blades I own. I watched a video of a man destroy a log by using the knife like a crow bar and the blade was a weaker steel than DC53. This thing was only $50 and it’s stronger and has better edge retention than knives that I’ve spend $150 for. Only downfall is that it’s not stainless steel and I’ll have to protect it from moisture. The handle is not as smooth a transition from steel to wood. You can feel the metal stick out out a bit when you hold it, but it’s not bad at all for a $50 knife. I have Joker knives that all have really great, super smooth ergonomic handles, but they are all more expensive with nowhere near the amount of toughness and edge retention as DC53.

Ergonomics and sharpness
Fit and finish fits the look. Rugged. The knife feels organic to me, easy to use. Handle/grip is slightly large but still fit my hands (m-l size) nicely. Sheath is questionable. It is leather but not the best quality. I am going to oil it and hope for the best. As for the blade... Was impressively sharp in stock form. Did a quick touch w/ strop and whoa. One last thing. Even though it comes with a ferro rod/striker accessory, the knife itself has a deceptive spine. It may feel like 90 degrees but throws little spark. Another touch-up. Did minor fire crafting activities after putting my "enhancements" on the knife and have to say. If you like to be hands on and refine "A diamond in the rough." For the price, this knife is hard to beat.

Great overall knife
Whoever designed this knife deserves an award. Blade so far has been holding its edge after some batoning and feather stick making. Pros: 1) Very thick full tang, but light for its size. 2) Spine of knife is sharp enough to throw sparks from a Ferro rod. 3) Finger groove behind blade is perfect for finer bushcraft work. Just wish it was rounded on the edges so as to possibly not cut into skin after extended use. Light filing down will fix that though. 4) Handle is extremely comfortable when using. 5) Holes in the rear of the blade side, design of the handle, and holes in butt of tang can easy turn this into an extremely secure spear. Cons: 1)Says U.S.A on handle, but is made in China. 2) Sheathe is cheap. Pouch on side will only hold a very small ferro rod and is too high on the sheathe. Should’ve been put towards the bottom and made larger so you could fit a decent ferro rod or sharpening stone in it. 3) Says DC53 steel but no way to check, and what I feel is deception by putting U.S.A on the knife causes me to doubt everything else. I have used it though and it has held up great. Overall it’s a great knife so far. Only wish they didn’t deceive by putting U.S.A on the knife.

Great Knife!
Sharp knife! The wood handle finish appears to be a dye, came off immediately upon washing before use.

Not bad overall. Wouldn't buy another though
It looks really sturdy, however I dropped it from 2 feet, hit the tip and chipped. Believed it was harder steel. Handle looks good but fractured or may have been like that when received. I didn't inspect so not sure if it came like that. Very sharp from factory

A really great knife!
(***** stars) The knife has a really good, quality feel to it, it's hefty, but not too heavy. I have average-sized hands and it is perfect for me. I love that dark brown wooden handle, for me, it really helps make the knife look like what I would do if I made it. The blade was sharp enough to shave my arm, so that is good enough for me. The blade's thickness is good, and the blade's overall design is perfect. (*** stars)The sheath itself is just O.K., I mean, I think it'd work for the average person fine, but, the belt loop seems slightly thin, it'll work, and probably last, but, if they'd just used a slightly heavier leather on that part it'd be a very nice sheath. The looks of the sheath is not what I would choose as the look, but, that is preference, I just might dye it a darker color, The two-toned look they gave this is just not my taste, it just makes it look like they tried to make it fancy and it just doesn't work for me. Yeah, I am going to dye it, for sure... More than likely I will be making my own sheath, easier said than done though, but that is my plan. I used to make leather holsters, but that was 50 years ago, but I still have my leather tools. I might appreciate their sheath the more I think about it. :) (***** stars) The fire-starter kit works fine, but as stated by others, it doesn't even fit into the leather pocket that is on the sheath, which is REALLY odd. The pocket is not just an afterthought, they put zero thought into that. As I said, the fire-starter works, and works well, there is not a thing at all wrong with that. I didn't buy the knife for that anyway. (***** stars) The price seemed fair, it is definitely worth the amount that I paid for it.

Feels good in the hand.
This knife feels good in your hand. Looks great on your display shelf for knives. If you want a knife to actually use for hunting and butchering this isn’t the right knife. I do like it just big and bulky. You’d probably be worn out by the end of a day of cleaning and cutting up your animal. Probably more of a brush clearer, maybe.

Best knife I’ve ever bought!
This is the best knife I’ve ever bought! Great steel. Razor sharp. Retains its edge well. Doesn’t rust or corrode when you leave it outside. Steel hardness is exceptional. The handle feels great! The size is perfect for your everyday do it all knife and it just looks and feels badass! It’s a pretty knife. Very aesthetically pleasing when it’s in your hand. Plus it comes with an awesome sheath.
