Comprehensive guide to 100 key drugs, including clinical pharmacology and prescribing info. Organized alphabetically and by organ system for easy reference. Review: Use the code in the book for the E-version as well! - I'm a third-year medical student and I cannot emphasize how good this book is! It makes common drug indications (i.e. ACE-inhibitors) so clearly outlined without waffling on. The explanations are pretty concise for mechanisms and usually have clinically helpful information. I used the code for the online E-Book, and it is also pretty good. Obviously mostly the same, but the website makes searching for drugs so much easier and is a bit more interactive. Main indications are numbered on the website, and you can search for medications based on drug class/etc or by condition. Review: Great reference guide for prescribers, and written in an easy-to-understand format! - I bought this book as it was recommended to me to help with my non-medical prescribing course. I have to say I owe a lot to the person who recommended it. It is organised in drug types and has comprehensive information on each. Also, unlike most pharmacology books, it is written in a very plain, easy to understand format. I feel this is the thing that will help me the most in my quest to get through NMP!

Great for medical school
Brilliant book that is super handy and good to take on the go in medical school. It has very good, easy to read explanations and tips and I understand drugs a lot better now that I read the pages dedicated to them. Very good find !

Excellent for NMP Students
I'm a trainee ACP in Acute Medicine and currently on the Non-Medical prescribing module. I spotted this book and thought I'd give it a go and i'm really pleased I found it! It's got just the right amount information on each class of drugs, so perfect for understanding the basic pharmacology. In particular i quite like the sections on communication with the patient which is particularly important if your are prescribing a drug your not all the familiar with. It's a great size, and I will definitely be taking this around with me whilst i'm working between A&E & AMU.

Great book for medical students
I’ve always felt overwhelmed by all the drugs we have to learn but this book is wonderful and explains the top 100 drugs so well! The layout is perfect (indications, mechanism of action, adverse effects etc.). It is a little small (see video for reference) which is good for carrying around for placement but otherwise I feel it would have been better if the text was larger as it’s pretty small.

Printing
Great book that summarise the counselling points on some of the common medications. Unfortunately, 6 of the pages in my book were double printed (overlapping words, which makes it a bit hard to read), otherwise the book is in good condition.

Very organized and easy👌🏻📖
This book has saved my life😍 I am a medical student and this book helped me a lot during my pharmacology module! It had the sufficient amount of information we needed to know and some extra stuff that were helpful! Honestly, I don’t know how I would’ve studied and passed my test without this book! Everything is simplified and easy for the brain to digest!

This book is my go to for studying pharmacology!
I’m a physician associate student and this book has been a god send for looking up a particular medication/drug. I especially like the patient communication section as it can be quite difficult to explain how a drug works in laymen’s terms for a patient to understand. Really happy with my purchase and would recommend to all medical students!

Pharm to me was the subject I HATED but wanted to love/be good at, because obvs-as everyone knows- it [and anatomy] are really the ‘smart’ subjects in medicine... anyways- point is-this book helped a lot! It is awesome- easy to understand- but not dumbed down and missing info so you’re getting watered-down knowledge. I got the 2nd ed. 2nd yr- and used it almost daily till graduation. And now I’ve gotten the 3rd to keep using!
