I don't think it would fit well in a tub / shower combo due to size, it's clearly made for a walk in shower. Not overly heavy. Easy to move. It's made well of heavy duty metal material. Sturdy. Took less than 15 mins to put together. I love it. I feel safe using it after major spine surgery. I recommend it 100%

This chair is very sturdy and lightweight. It works great for my wife who broke her leg. I appreciate the rubber feet and the removable arms. It was also very easy to assemble.

Bought for elderly person and found that it is much sturdier than others and fix in small shower nicely. Would have give it a 5 star but had to have help to but together to hold some of the parts. Great value.

Was Waaaay More Complicated to Out together Than The One I Have In Another Bathroom.. But The Finished Product is Lovely and Sturdy.. I am Very Satisfied.. it's for my Mother.. I Highly Recommend This Chair..

I highly recommend this chair for someone who must sit down while shoering.

This shower chair is very sturdy, easy to assemble, and user friendly. Use of the extra padding to the chair, does aid in comfort, as well as appearance. The chair is light weight, which is important if you need to remove it for others to use the shower. It remains stable when going from sitting to standing, with no noticeable movement of the chair. Important to note that there is not an opening under the seat of the chair, so user must stand to wash private areas.

On paper this looks like a great design. But while I'm not an engineer, I did put myself thru college doing heavy assembly work.First, the T screws are clearly marked and seem like strong metal. However, they screw into blind nuts without a flange for guidance. Not a deal breaker but a disadvantage as you will see.Construction begins with forming the X with the legs and securing it with a T screw. Then the legs get further screwed down. It's here that I noticed that there was torsion in the design. Do that and then you form a second stability X that secures the legs above the adjustment sleeve. That's where the legs and the support began not to line up. But with help from another party, I managed to align the support with the holes in the legs.During the entire process I noticed that the T screws were getting more and more difficult to turn because of the torsion I mentioned.But on to the seat back which should be the easiest step. Again four T screws are required but no matter if you installed two left and then tried the other two, or two right, same problem. Even trying to install them in a X pattern failed and the screws were getting extremely tight.Finally, I had to drill the holes in the tubes about a millimeter larger and stretch the upright posts outward to get the four T screws in.Success, not quite. One screw would only enter its hole 7/8ths of the way even using vice grips to turn it. After adjusting the leg lengths and flipping it over onto the floor, I saw that the seat back was cocked about 1/2". Luckily, the upper screw holes thru the uprights were oval, but now I had to partially unscrew the retaining T screws to align the seat and restruggle tightening it all down.Good news is that the arms just snap in provided everything else is aligned.It's a nice chair and might even hold 500 lbs as advertised but it's not an easy build, so be prepared.
