Doesn’t come with directions. It looks like a jumble of mishappen straps and buckles. I suspect it’s a functional product but good luck figuring out how to put it on. Should have returned it but I’ve got to climb a lot of ladder rungs soon and hope to figure it out. Why are so many Amazon merchants so lackadaisakal about providing food directions?

I could say a lot but how about this: I trusted my life to this safety harness. I have to make adjustments to the rain gutter around my house. It's a two-story reach. I have anchor clips put in on my roof so the roof doesn't have to be ruined by nailing new ones in. With just this lanyard you get limited reach from an anchor point but you can always add an extension. The safety length is there, folded up, ready to deploy if I tumble and fall - it's designed to be yanked to slow my fall, then release and extend to make sure I don't come to a sudden stop. Of course, I didn't yet get to test this feature, but knowing the overall harness and lanyard are OSHA compliant helps me put trust into this. Others seem to have trouble making the harness fit. I didn't encounter any trouble, and if the harness is a little loose for some but still holds well I don't think that should be much of a worry - it's there to catch you if you fall, and not needed otherwise. I hope my experience has been of help in your shopping experience.

I picked up this safety harness to use as a backup for my hunting harness and for my kids to use when they came with me. The harness itself seems very well made, from the webbing to the stitching and even the hardware used. The hooks are large enough to fit many tie off points. I like the large padded back support area as well. The harness was comfortable enough to wear for longer periods of time. I didn't have the need to actually test the effectiveness of the fall arrest harness, and I hope I never have to.
