I quickly ordered some Alvin because I knew it would do what I needed it to: keep my paper attached the board, even after a wet under-painting, and not tear the paper when I remove it. Review: Just what drafting tape should be - I don’t really have much to say about this tape. I’ve been using drafting tape professionally for 50 years and Alvin is dependable for the things you need in a drafting tape: the adhesive has to be sticky but with less adhesion than masking tape and the adhesive shouldn’t dry out, the tape itself has to be thick enough to pick up with a fingernail by not so thick that a straight edge or triangle catches on it, and the backing has to be strong enough so it doesn’t tear under use by still be able to be torn into short pieces to hold the edges of tracing paper or film. 3M and Alvin are the most reliable at satisfying these criteria. ## Features - Superb Quality - this professional level tape sticks to the paper and other surfaces when you need it to, then comes off damage-free. - Dimensions - This drafting tape is 1/2 inch wide and comes in a spool size that is 60 yards long - Leaves no Residue - Leaves no stain, no sticky particles, and no abraded surface behind after use. This residue free feature makes this tape ideal for delicate or fragile projects. - Low Tack Surface - Smooth surface allows T-squares and triangles to easily glide over drawings without getting hung up. Holds paper in place while minimizing rips of expensive drafting paper. - A Professional's Choice - Alvin has been the professional's choice for drafting tools and drawing supplies for over half a century. Since 1950, we have brought quality and value to our customers. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000HF28QC | | Adhesive Format | roll | | Adhesive Location | masking | | Adhesive Material | Adhesive | | Adhesive Side Count | 2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #31,289 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #12 in Drafting & Graphic Tape | | Brand | ALVIN | | Brand Name | ALVIN | | Color | Buff | | Compatible Material | Paper | | Configuration | 1/2" x 60 Yards, Low Tack, No Residue | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 343 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00088354476559 | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 0.5"W x 0.5"Th | | Item Resistance | False | | Item Thickness | 0.5 inches | | Item Type Name | Self-Adhesive Drafting Tape | | Manufacturer | ALVIN | | Material | Adhesive | | Material Type | Adhesive | | Model | 2300-A | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | No Residue, Removable | | Package Size Name | 1/2 in x 60yds | | Part Number | 2300-A | | Recommended Uses For Product | Arts And Craft, Painting, Indoor | | Size Name | 3/4" | | Special Feature | No Residue, Removable | | Surface Recommendation | Paper | | UPC | 088354476559 | | Unit Count | 180 Feet | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ALVIN - **Color:** Buff - **Material:** Adhesive - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Arts And Craft, Painting, Indoor ## Images ![Model 2300-A - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71dYKW4xKSL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dependable Artist Tape *by H***S on August 3, 2025* I bought some artists tape during Joanns closeout sale to secure pastel paper for painting ...what a disappointment!
