I am using this in a 2021 crosstrek, using the standard USB port (no need for the little usbc adapter, I am able to plug the unit directly into the car). It works well, setup was very easy, and it connects to my phone without fuss. My only nitpick is that using google maps through carplay is pretty slow. Rather than the map continuously keeping up with me, it seems to update my position every 2-4 seconds or so, with the occasional even longer lag. Not a huge deal, but frustrating when passing through difficult roadways or a section of road with multiple splits. When I use the car's wired carplay (without this device), I do not have that lagging issue.
