Nice telescope for a beginner! Great accessory bundle.
Well packed, nice clear guide, relatively easy assembly (took me 15-20 minutes for initial assembly, another 5 or so outside to tweak the sighting scope). Seems like a solid bargain for the price, more details below. This is my first telescope, so I can't compare to others. It feels like the times are thin metal whereas most if the ends, etc are plastic. Glass lenses. Everything came neatly packed and wrapped into the carry case, inside a cardboard box, inside another cardboard box. Considering some components are I think somewhat fragile, this seemed like the right amount of packaging. Some of the adjustments on the tripod feel a bit stiff to me compared to some of my camera tripods, but feels like decent construction. Used it outside tonight for the first time. Inside town with nearby lights, but clear skies. Located I think Jupiter, but it just looked like a bright dot to me ;) Much better results looking at the moon where I was able to tell what I was doing with the focus and get a nice beautiful sharp image. The moon was very high in the sky and I had to sit on the ground to use it, but well worth it. I was only using the 25mm eyepiece this time as it was my first try. Going to try out the phone adapter for pictures next time, then maybe another time the 3x Barlow lens and 10mm eyepiece to see if I can get a better view of a planet. The top mount for a phone was handy for using an app to quickly locate planets/constellations/etc (I tried the recommended Stellarium app this time).

A Stellar Starter Scope – Dianfan Brings the Moon Closer Than Ever!
This Dianfan telescope is an absolute win for anyone diving into astronomy — whether you’re a wide-eyed beginner or a backyard stargazer looking to upgrade from the toy-level stuff. Right out of the box, it looks and feels professional. The stainless steel tripod is sturdy, the scope itself is well-built, and the whole setup is intuitive and satisfying to assemble. Once aligned, this 90mm aperture with 800mm focal length delivers some truly sharp views. I was able to see crisp details on the Moon’s surface that felt almost surreal — craters, shadows, and even a hint of texture. Saturn’s rings? Visible. Jupiter’s moons? Yep, those too. It’s not just hype — this thing delivers real celestial payoff. The included eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) are great for switching between wide-field and close-up views, and the phone adapter is a genius touch — within minutes, I was snapping moon photos that looked like they came from a much pricier rig. Even the carry bag is a plus for portable stargazing nights. What really makes this telescope shine is how approachable it is. No tech snags, no complex calibration — just clear directions and a fun, frustration-free setup that lets you spend more time looking up than looking clueless. Final Verdict: If you’re ready to dip into astronomy or upgrade from a cheap scope, the Dianfan telescope hits the sweet spot between user-friendly and impressive.

Offers a perfect blend of quality, performance and convenience - no tools required!
The Dianfan Refractor Telescope is an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned astronomy enthusiasts. Its combination of user-friendly features and high-quality optics makes it a standout in its category. I was pleasantly surprised by how beginner-friendly this telescope is. The instructions were clear, and I had everything assembled and ready to go in under 20 minutes—no tools required! The altazimuth mount was intuitive, and I felt comfortable adjusting it right away. My daughter is completely new to astronomy, however this telescope has made her entry into stargazing not just easy, but absolutely magical. Image quality is fantastic, I was able to see the craters on the moon in amazing detail. The 90mm aperture really brings in a lot of light, and paired with the 800mm focal length, the images are sharp and clear. One of my favorite parts is the smartphone adapter that comes included. I attached my phone in minutes and was able to take photos of the moon that actually looked great! It’s been so fun to share those pictures with friends and family. The stainless steel tripod is super solid and doesn’t wobble like I feared it might. Plus, the carrying bag makes it easy for me to take the telescope to a nearby park for clearer skies. Everything fits inside neatly, so it's perfect for beginners like me who might not have a dedicated setup space at home. This telescope has honestly exceeded my expectations. I’m now spending more evenings under the stars and learning more every time I use it. If you're a beginner wondering where to start, I highly recommend the Dianfan 90mm. It’s opened up a whole new hobby for me! I have included a few pics for reference.

Excellent pick; Can't go wrong with this one.
As a beginner to telescopes, I was a bit nervous about picking the right one, but this one turned out to be an great choice! The setup was way easier than I expected, and the instructions were super clear. The views through this telescope are incredible—I was able to see craters on the moon in so much detail. The different eyepieces and the 3X Barlow lens helped me zoom in and get different views, which was really fun to experiment with. The tripod is sturdy, and the smartphone adapter makes it easy to take pictures of what I see. I’m so happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a great telescope for stargazing! Very reasonable price as well!

Telescope for Stunning Lunar Views and Easy Sharing
I bought this telescope about ten days ago, and yesterday I received a request from Amazon to review it. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I really appreciated this product, so I wanted to share my opinion, hoping it will be helpful to others. The package arrived on time as promised by Amazon, and the packaging was perfect, as you can see from the photos. I was quite worried about this due to the delicate nature of such a product. Inside, the telescope was very well organized, with each lens meticulously packed and protected. Assembly was incredibly quick—really less than 10 minutes to set it up. I had to wait a few days to use it because of the weather conditions. The other night, I was lucky to have a clearer sky than usual, and the view of the moon was fantastic. I've attached a photo I took with my phone, which you can attach directly to the telescope. This might be my favorite feature: being able to mount your phone directly on the telescope to take pictures of what you see through the lens. It's a must-have for anyone who loves to share their observations like me. The telescope is very versatile regarding viewing distances, with several lenses that can be changed. It's lightweight and easy to carry with a bag provided by the seller. The quality-price ratio is very satisfying—I didn't believe that with a telescope at this price, I could honestly see the Moon so clearly. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this telescope.

Excellent Quality, Reasonably Priced, Breathtaking Views!
I have been fascinated by the skies since I was kid. I was hesitant to purchase a telescope because of the outrageous pricing. I came across this one, one of the only reasonable priced ones I could find, and thought the risk was worth the potential reward. I am happy to report, I hit a homerun with this one! Excellent quality without breaking the bank. My main takeaways are: 1. EASY installation. All in, it took a little over 10 minutes. My 15-year-old niece did most of the work. It’s very intuitive. 2. HIGH Quality material. It looks and feels much more expensive than it is. 3. EASY Transportation. It’s very light weight. I can move it from my deck, to the house, to the front porch with ease. It breaks down just as easy as you can put it together. It comes with a case. You can have back in the case and in the car in under 15 minutes. 4. GREAT Views. You get the same thing as you would from any other scope with a 10mm and 25mm magnification (it comes with these two). ADVICE – Use the 10mm first (lower magnification, broader view) to spot what you are looking for. Then use the 25 mm to get a closer view. Alternatively, it comes a with a side spotter scope you could use to locate. You do need to calibrate the side scope first to its aligned with the main scope. 5. EASY to change positions. It swivels and adjusts up and down in a very intuitive way. 6. DETAILED instructions. My advice, take the time to read the instructions (not a long read). They are very well put together and will save you frustration if this is your first scope. 7. The phone attachment is a game changer. If it’s annoying/difficult for you to close one eye the phone attachment aligns your phone’s camera the view hole. You can see just as you would with your eye. ADVICE – spend a couple bucks on an eye patch, it makes manually viewing soooo much easier. Also, make sure your eye is a couple centimeters back from the scope when viewing and that you are in a DARK area. If you’re an astronomy junky like me or just looking for some good old-fashioned entertainment, you can’t go wrong here (kids love it). Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The skies are great this time of the year around me!

Nice telescope for kids
This is a nice telescope for my 8 year old granddaughter. She can get a close up view of the moon and can find the planets and see them, though she’s just seeing white circles, nothing like what I was hoping she could see. It is portable and comes with a carrying case

Amazing quality telescope, perfect for beginners!
This telescope has exceeded my expectations! It is made of metal and is extremely high quality and well built. The stand is sturdy and the mounts can be easily adjusted to your liking. It also comes with a cool phone adapter so you can take pictures of what you see with your phone. It also comes with a convenient carrying case so you can easily store and transport it with you. The instructions it came with are very clear and easy to understand. I’ve never used a telescope before but was able to easily put it together and learned how to use it. I was able to locate a star and switch to the higher power 10mm eyepiece to view it even closer! The picture doesn’t do it justice! It’s amazing seeing the swirling edges of stars. I can’t wait to find other planets and stars to look at! I highly recommend this telescope for anyone looking to get into stargazing or even if you are on the fence for buying a telescope. You can’t go wrong with this one! The quality is amazing and this telescope has exceeded all of my expectations!
