Easy installation, And helped my drain on my battery a lot, Worth buying if you have a small system, this was plenty for my 1 12” sub much more and a battery would be better I would say.

I'm very happy to report that this kit did the job with no issues. The Cap works and is reading accurately. The wires fit perfectly and my system sounds clean with zero hum or feedback. I'm going to recommend this to the shop owners I know, so they can work something out with the seller. Great price and quality.

Make sure you also order a power distributor to split the power line before wiring amp & cap. And maybe another ground as 3ft wasn't long enough for both amp and cap for my install. I was quoted hundreds of dollars to run a new power line from battery to amp, much of it was labor hours, but both places charged TWICE THE PRICE just for the amp wiring kit. NOT INCLUDING CAP! So glad I decided to run this myself, especially as my '09 Rav4 driver side firewall grommet already had a hole punched that fit the 4GA wire! Might be slightly more difficult if you need to drill new hole, but if you're AT ALL handy, you can YouTube & DIY easy enough. Definitely took a few hours to pop off all the interior side panels, the stereo head unit, and run the wires, but nothing too technical or mechanical or requiring specialized tools and totally worth the afternoon in the driveway/garage.

Firstly, Mine was professionally installed by the company that i got my system from a number of years ago, i was finally able to install it a few days ago. They used what came in the box, nothing else had to be purchased, in my case anyway, so this having everything you need MIGHT vary here and there. Though i did buy a current generation fuse holder to replace the older one, but that was my choice as it was nearing 10 years. Kind of amazing how small the fuses are now while having the same rating of its larger counterpart. Secondly, maybe its a given, i dont know, but so people are aware, the Cap only Turns On at a certain Voltage threshold, so there does have to be a certain amount of power draw on the Battery for the Cap to kick in. Which i was under the impression that if the Head unit was turned on and thus communicating with the Amp the Cap would always be On as long as the Head unit was, which does not appear to be the case. So for me, my Cap was correctly installed and does Work. If yours doesnt, you could have gotten a Dud, sure. But its also possible you didnt install it correctly. A Disconnect Switch would probably be a good thing to add as the Cap still gets the battery voltage even in its Idle/Off mode. 1 Final thing of note, the Blue LED is Very Bright so depending on the direction its pointed at you may need to So far its doing what its supposed to, only time will tell if i remove it or keep it.

After everything was said and done this kit turned out to be a great choice. some wiring it's alone are ~30 and a 2.5F cap is another ~30 so this was a no brainer buy when needing a wiring kit. the cap instructions are kind of confusing because it seems like it's still charging and the number should rise from blinking 0.0. but it won't. though it does say 5-20 seconds with the resistor I thought it wasn't working right. but after leaving it on for about 20 minutes I hooked it up to my battery and it worked perfectly. the wires are great and plenty. I actually was able to hook up and ground two amps with the kit, but I have a smaller vehicle and my grounds are very short.

Like the capacitor but don't like the wiring kit with it.Did not come with a ground wire.

This capacitor sucks!! I installed it on my car and it helped none. This 2.5 farad capacitor should’ve been more than enough for my 1200 watt amp but instead it did nothing and my distributor is fried. Thanks a lot now I have to spend $400 on a new distributor!! Very disappointed!
