Buy How to Play the Fife for Beginners: The Ultimate Guide to Learning, Playing, and Becoming Proficient at the Instrument (Instruments for Beginners) by Hale, Arnold (ISBN: 9798870421681) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Lovely and Helpful - Extremely helpful book, I feel like I can start a band tomorrow now! Haha. I will be passing this onto my niece as well. Review: Wasn't what I was expecting and in my view totally useless for learning to play - I was expecting a book that would show me how to play a fife and move progressively through pieces, showing fingering and giving advice on how to play. I expected something like "tune a day" book or Abracadabra. This book does not show you how to play. Unfortunately the illustrations on desertcart only show the first two pages so it is not possible to gauge the contents from that. Some of the pictures are of penny whistles or recorders. Much of the book is about music theory and the only written piece of music is to illustrate a time signature showing the key of A flat major. No fingering chart, no lip positioning, no tunes to play - as far as I can see.

To many, playing Fife is an enigma. The lack of internet and library information may explain this. Step into this book, โHow to Play the Fife for Beginners,โ which fills the gap perfectly. This book is a worthy read for a person interested in knowing the right tips and tricks for mastering this instrument. Going through the intricacies of this is perhaps the best step forward for any beginner who wants to comprehensively learn the six-hole fife.

This "songbook" contains little to no instruction on play or even in reading sheet music. It contains at most two measures of two different songs written in letter notation and not on a staff. The book spends the entirety of its length waffling about irrelevant topics in weird prose, and reads entirely like LLM generated text. Additionally, very few photographs in the book are even fifes, instead being mostly recorders. The captions for the photographs contain the source in hyperlink, as though you're expected to click on a literal printed page. This book will not teach you how to play fife. At most it teaches you how to produce sound on it. That is it. That is all it offers, in totality. I have never been more offended and angry of a purchase in a long time. I am insulted.
