My son loves this set, he plays with it for hours at a time. Comes with three containers of food coloring, red yellow and blue. We have used these for making volcano experiments and he also plays with them in the bath. Everything is plastic and/or rubber and has been durable for my four year old. Easy to clean. Plenty of ways to use this, a good way to learn about measuring things as well. No assembly required.

Our super-high-IQ 25 month-old Granddaughter loves this set ...... making colored solutions and playdough - some of her favorite projects. Using the droppers, flasks, beakers, funnels, safety goggles - all great EXCEPT ONE THING - NO NITRILE GLOVES INCLUDED - YOU WILL HAVE TO ORDER SOME XS SIZE NITRILE GLOVES SEPARATELY FROM AMAZON. WHILE YOU ARE AT IT, ORDER A LITTLE WHITE LAB COAT. If your Junior Chemist gets the concentrated coloring on their bare hands, or has advanced to sodium bicarbonate /acetic acid (vinegar) experiments (like ours has) - protection for their bare hands, clothes and eyes /face is a must - This set has nice Goggles but you need to buy the gloves and a lab coat. More bad news: A dedicated sink area is a must - with running water, sprayer, emergency eye wash bottle, distilled water spray bottle, dedicated roll of quality paper towels, good lighting and emergency mop set. If your Junior Chemist takes-off with this great little starter laboratory set - great - because MIT or CalTech is in your kids future - but all you have done is bought yourself a ticket to be prepared to purchase add-on laboratory apparatus such as experiment apparatus stands, test tube clamps, rings, more plastic test tubes, many-more beakers of varying size, trays, filters, stirring rods, magnetic /electric stirring plate, electronic digital scale, small/fine powder scooping spoons, large wall mounted white board and periodic table - just to name a few - So with just these add-on items you are going to be down about $500 or so. But keep all add-on apparatus as NON-BREAKABLE. This initial kit is a great value for the money - but where you are going to spend the BIG MONEY is on all the add-on apparatus - plus building your Junior Chemist a safe laboratory with a sink, runny hot/cold water, ventilation hood and entirely water proof walls /floors /countertops with good lighting. Sorry to inform you, but once your little genius gets hooked on Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics - there is no turning back. SO THINK TWICE, THREE OR FOUR TIMES BEFORE BUYING THIS KIT - DO YOU REALLY WANT YOUR GENIUS KID TO HAVE IT?

SO much fun! There is so much to do in this book. My 4 year old loves science, so we got him this for Christmas and STILL have experiments to do, 4 months later! It has everything shown on tge front of the box. It is a great value for what you get. You do have to purchase ingredients that go into the experiments, but most of the ingredients are basic household staples most people have in their kitchen! It also explains the science behind the result of each experiment, which is SUPER cool! Grow their brains and creativity! Even my 12 year old enjoys this kit!

Got this for a 5yo and some experiments were a little out of his league which caused him to lose interest after doing a few easy ones. The easy experiments were no issue, but this may be better suited for 7-8. Lots of hand holding required to perform a majority of the experiments.

Love the kit it’s absolutely amazing! Has a book of many “experiments”. Was easy to set up and clean up. I would just be careful with the dyes I did end up with some on my hands. We just used play outfits so we didn’t have to worry about ruined clothes.

My 4 year old granddaughter absolutely loves this! The experiments are easy enough for her to do with minimal supervision or help and so much fun!

Comes with food colouring which my daughter spilled everywhere. Luckily easy to clean up. Super fun but you might pull out your hair as a parent.
