Wheeler Roll Pin Punch Set with 9 Steel Punches, Labeled Rollup Storage Bag for Firearm Maintenance and Gunsmithing

I have several Wheeler products & find them to be of good quality. This punch set is no different. The punches were all straight, no bent shafts with a black oxide type of finish. The only surprise I had is that the individual punches do not have the size stamped on them. It’s convenient to have the sizes marked on the punches. Other than that, the punches worked as they should.

What do you need when you're in the middle of a project? Many things but in my case it was a set of smaller steel punches. I grabbed these based on the reviews and they did not let me down. The sizes are accurate and they popped the roller pins out that I needed. Great purchase for me!

It's a Wheeler, what more can I say. Yes some of the smaller punches will bend if you are not careful with it. But I love that it comes with a case and the rounded tips really help grasp the roll pins. Use them for my AR's and great for the toolbox without getting all lost and it stays in place. Will make maintenance easy as well as if I need to modify or repair any of my rifles with new parts or additional parts. Great tool set to have in your bag.

These roll pin punches saved my life! I needed to get the roll pin (normally called something a little more accurate) out of a shift linkage on a 2000 Honda Civic, and I was hacking at it for days with a screw driver and dead blow mallet. I finally broke down and bought these, thinking that they might help a little. Well, they showed up and BAM! One smack with the right punch and the roll pin popped right out. Stop wasting time and energy trying to weasel your way through a project with two sticks and rock. Just buy the right tool for the job!

I like this punch set. Decent price for what you get.. Needed this to assemble an AR lower and it worked just fine using only a couple of the smaller mid size punches, the rest were just extra for me but have now used on other projects....A 4 star rating instead of 5 because the smallest punch was bent - more like a slightly warped shaft but still very usable. The punch seems so small it might have happened from heat treating?? could have been from a lot of things so no problem for me on that... a better punch set would most likely cost quit a bit more than this one.... These are an absolute must have for AR gunsmithing. If you are bending or breaking the smaller punches you definitely are not using the product correctly or for its intended use. These are for Gunsmithing and not any other type of work. That is what Wheeler does. You probably don’t how to correctly use them either. These are used to drive the roll pin to almost flush with the working surface. Then a you MUST use a brass flat punch to finish off the work. Do not use these to drive a roll pin straight through the hole. Other than that this set is perfect. The bag is cheap though and the smallest punch tends ti slide out. Nothing a stapler can’t fix.

Bought to do some AR15 work with roll pins. Decent quality and did the job (Wish I had roll pin punch starters also, but was not going to spend more money) I used needle nose pliers to hold the pin punch in place when tapping roll pins in. Did not bend when I tested it to see if it would bend from minimal pressure on smaller sized ones because I read reviews that it bends. But just like the iphone 6/6s.. of course it will bend if you put enough pressure. Use common sense, the smaller and thinner the pin punch, the more careful you need to be. I tossed the bag cause it's pretty cheap, other than that the bag is good if you want to read the sizes.

Bought this as part of my AR build. I knew these were going to be top quality and I was not disappointed. They worked flawlessly and were a great tool to have during my build. I keep these in my toolbox now as there are many other great uses for them.
