Answer turned out to be “yes, turn it so hard you think you’re gonna break it.” Whoever packs those sealed it tight. **Q: How long is the hose?** A: The hose is 3 feet long. **Q: Why didn't this bladder come with the back pack holder as is described in the photos? That's the reason I bought this product** A: Mine had one, it broke, but it has a hook on the opposite side of the handle. **Q: Is this bladder certified food-grade, bpa-, bps-, phthalate-free?** A: According to the vendor's description it is BPA free. There was no mention of BPS or phthalate that I could find.
