I bought the i5-1235U model. I wanted a low power, compact, yet powerful mini-PC so I could run Proxmox and multiple virtual machines and LXC containers. I was able to easily load Proxmox 7.4 and upgrade to the Linux 6.2.6 kernel without issue. All hardware was recognized, and no hassle or driver issues. I did replace the NVMe SSD (which BTW, they use Kingston which is a very good brand, so kudos!) with a larger 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Disassembling the case was not terribly hard, but a little tedious to get the fan and heatsink assembly out. Internally the PC is very premium. They put a thermal pad on the m.2 SSD, and the fan assembly has a large heat spreader that presses against the SSD. This should really help with SSD longevity. There is space and a connector for a SATA 2.5" SSD, in case you need extra storage. The WiFi card uses the m.2 A+E key, so you could in theory remove the WiFi card and install a Google Coral TPU. Those have a massive lead time, so I can't vouch that those cards work in this mini-PC but it should. I have a few minor nitpicks: 1) Lack of 2.5Gbps NIC. Intel 2.5Gbps NICs have a history of problems, so maybe use Realtek or something. 2) Needs more USB-C ports that are 10Gbps or faster 3) The fabric top is baffling. Makes for cleaning and removing dust extremely hard. It needs to be solid plastic like every other mini-PC out there. I contacted tech support to get the auto-power on instructions, which they promptly sent. Took all of 1 minute in the BIOS to change the setting. I verified auto power on works as expected. With a Home Assistant OS VM, and 5 LXC containers, the steady state power draw is 8w. This is excellent! The CPU is very powerful, so even with all these services running steady-state CPU usage is literally less than 2%. I highly recommend this mini-PC! Since the CPU is so powerful, unless you need all the horsepower you could get away with a less expensive model if you want to run Proxmox and a few VMs or containers.

It's working excellent as my Plex server. Much quicker than the laptop I had been using. Monitoring programs show I have barely made a deng in it's available resources, even when serving 3 streams at once. When I was first setting it up, my USB mouse skipped, jumped, and froze horribly whenever the processor was doing any task. But that stopped after a day, I concluded I was trying to set up too many things at once, including configuring 3 attached hard drives and all the auto updates. I do suspect power may be an issue if you try to use all the USB ports at once. I do have my 3 hard drives connected via a hub plugged into the usb-c port, rather than the 3 drives plugged into 3 individual USB ports on the PC.

Love these little computers. Price is great and they have good specs. I have 4 of them...beware you will have to do a clean install on every one or they will cease to install new updates. It's not hard and comes right from the Microsoft cloud. Be sure to do it before setting it all up. Even when you select the save my files you will have to re-install non Microsoft applications.

Great mini PC for great value- easy to set up. It was also easy to add an additional SSD. Great performance.

This review is for the i7/500GB drive variant: I put this in my entertainment stand, which doesn't have great airflow, and it doesn't get very warm. I use it to host my Plex media, and the specs for the price can't be beat. The aluminum casing is very nice, and the ports are more than adequate for my needs. I like the dual Gigabit Ethernet and having two HDMI ports is a plus, but I would've preferred a 2.5 Gbps port instead. Lacking that 2.5G port and the lack of Wi-Fi 7 is really the only negatives I have... Which seem trivial when considering the price. I wouldn't use this PC for high end gaming, but the processor speed and RAM are more than adequate for just about anything else. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small desktop PC/mini server.

So far this computer performs well and was easy to set up. The integrated GCU is not quite as fast as the one in my previous PC but it is fast enough.

My wife's main PC for years was an Intel i5 NUC that we bought years ago. It had relatively good specs for it's time, but slower 2nd Gen i5, small amount of RAM and limited storage, plus the fact that it couldn't upgrade to Windows 11 meant it was time for something new. This Beelink SEI12 cost just a little over half of what her original Intel NUC cost, came with 4x CPU Threads, 4x the RAM, and 4x the storage of her old machine, and Windows 11. Setup was a snap with the only hiccup being the time it took to download the latest Windows 11 patches to bring it fully up to date. It's fast, responsive and best of all - quiet. Which was one of her most important requirements. It's not totally silent, but near enough that she doesn't find it distracting (about the same as the previous Intel NUC).

Save your money and stay away. Computer won't load an update for Windows 11. Customer service is by email and all they said was to Microsoft website and reload Windows. When I asked specific questions and they sent me back a link to a video to watch. Checked on Reddit and this problem has been occurring for months now. You would think they would have a better response if they had not solved the problem. I requested a full refund today as I am within their 30 day return policy. I will update when I get a response.

Que máquina hein! Fiquei surpreendida pela qualidade e tamanho, além de vir com o Windows 11 pro. Tive alguma dificuldade com compatibilidade com cabo HDMI e instalação/configuração do Windows e tive que comprar um estabilizador, mais um ponto positivo a equipe técnica que ajudou no processo. Valeu mesmo. Recomendo.
