Worked like a charm
I bought a 32" 4k LG monitor at a thrift store for $15 bucks with no power supply included. The plug fit, it worked well when I powered it on and didn't have any annoying capacitor noise. The quality seems to match OE parts at a fraction of the price. I'm a happy camper!
