Probably better placed as an adhesive
Chatgpt recommended I buy this to bond between my stairs and wall, where, cracking occurs due to wall settlement in new build. It does the job but it's more of an adhesive and dries with a tacky feel. I've painted over it twice and it still feels a bit tacky so I think it'll be dirty over time... Would suggest something else for staircase sealant/filler.

Great Sealant
This is one of the best sealants I have ever used. You can buy cheaper alternatives, however you get what you pay for. I will only ever use this now for sealing around anything. As it is an adhesive, it is quite tacky for the first week, however after this it appears no different to any other sealant, however with better adhesion to the surface.
