BIQU CryoGrip Pro Frostbite for Bambu-Lab P1S/P1P/P2S/X1C/X1E/X2D/A1 257x257mm Cold Build Plate Room Temperature Print Double Sided Upgrade Plate Removable Surface Platform

I run a small 3D-printing farm, and this build plate impressed me immediately. I had a part with large overhangs that kept tipping over on other PEI plates, even when using a brim and glue. On this plate, the same part printed perfectly on the first attempt. There is a little bit of a learning curve because you need to research and adjust the correct plate and temperature settings, but the adhesion has been excellent once configured properly. For difficult models, tall prints, or parts with limited contact area, it has been much more reliable than the standard plates I was using. I was happy enough with the results that I purchased these for my other nine printers. I am still waiting for a sale before buying the more expensive version for my H2C, but so far these have been well worth the investment and a great addition to my print farm.

Was on the fence after reading other reviews but decided to get o e for my P1S. Probably the best accessory I have bought for it and it is now my go-to plate, replacing my OEM plate. No issues with adhesion, plate seems quality material. I have even personally not cleaned it, touched it to “stress test it” after multiple prints, still “sticky” and worked like new. Would recommend ordering buy again if I needed to.

I was going through a nightmare of nothing sticking for the past week on my bambu p1s days and I tried everything!! (I used different sides my PEI plate, I tried alcohol, I washed it a bunch of times and nothing worked... I tried all sorts of temperatures speeds and even first layer density and flow, absolutely nothing)! So I gave up and bought this cryogrip plate and it is ridiculous! They say you are not supposed to use alcohol so I just use soap and warm water and this thing sticks so perfectly, the only thing is you can't detach when it's warm so you need to let it cool down before you detach, but now that I've dialed it in it prints perfectly every time! It's crazy, and it's nice because it's a low temperature plate so I print PLA at 40° and pet g at 55° and I don't get any heat warping or creep, I love this thing!

This has changed my life. I now often forget I'm even printing anything, instead of having that background anxiety that forces me to constantly check the printer. Even cold filament sticks to it. Being able to print at such low temps means a severe reduction in clogging chances, which means you can risk printing weird filaments with smaller nozzles. It's the absolute best.

Hello, I am very disappointed with my CryoGrip Pro Frostbite plate. I used it on a Creality K2 Plus under normal operating conditions, and after less than two weeks of use, the coating on one side started to lift and peel off. I purchased this plate through Amazon in the United States and brought it to my country, Guatemala. Because of the distance and the shipping and import costs involved, returning or replacing it is not easy, which makes this situation even more disappointing. I have previously purchased the blue plates from the same brand and had excellent results with them, so I expected the same level of quality and durability from the Frostbite version. My positive experience with those plates was the reason I decided to buy this product. In my opinion, a coating should not deteriorate like this after such a short period of normal use. I would like to know whether this could be considered a manufacturing defect and if there is any way the manufacturer or seller could assist me. Thank you.

This is my go-to plate for printing PETG and PCTG. When you've got a print that needs to be PETG and it won't stay stuck to other plates, the CryoGrip Pro Frostbite is the answer. It's a polyurea-style plate, a knockoff of the Darkmoon3D ICE plate. Don't tell Ben at Darkmoon3D, but I think the Cryogrip Pro might be slightly better—they seem more durable. You can also use the Frostbite with PLA, but you usually don't need it, and getting the right temperature can be more tricky—especially with all the PLA variants out there. (For PLA, Darkmoon3D's Satin plate still reigns supreme.) The downside to the Frostbite is its surface texture. It imparts an orange-peel texture to your prints. It's far more pronounced than most textured-PEI plates or the Satin plate. If appearance matters, that may be an issue for you. But if appearance needs to take a back seat to reliable bed adhesion, Frostbite is the way. You may also need to customize filament profiles, depending on your slicer. Some slicers' "cool textured plate" setting doesn't have enough squish for reliable first layers, in which case you need to alter the temperature for the "textured PEI plate" profile to match Frostbite's lower temperatures. Don't even think about using this plate with other filament types not listed—they'll destroy the plate. Plate cleanup is super easy: just wipe it with a paper towel dampened with plain or distilled water. The coating is oleophobic, so the damp towel will reliably remove any oils. Don't use alcohol or other solvents, they'll wreck the coating. Even dish soap may have an adverse effect, so it's great that Frostbite doesn't need it. Note these comments only apply to CryoGrip Pro FROSTBITE. The CryoGrip Pro *Glacier* plate is an entirely different story with far less grip; I don't recommend that one. If you've been frustrated by your textured-PEI plate as you venture into printing PETG or PCTG, buy yourself this plate.

I was having adhesion problems living in a high humidity environment but since I purchased this I haven’t had a single problem. Highly recommend!

I earlier purchased the Cryogrip Glacier plate because I use PLA/PETG/ASA frequently. After trying it, I decided I needed more sticking power for my PETG filament than the Glacier offered. So I decided to try this Frostbite version for my PETG/PLA and reserve the Glacier to my ASA filament prints.. The Frostbite is very comparible to the Bambu Lab Supertak Plate and I use those Bambu Plate settings with this plate too since Bambu doesn't allow custom brand plate settings on the P2S so far. The Bambu plate settings you choose to use this plate with do make a difference. Each Bambu plate setting type will change the printing Z height by small amounts and it will make a difference. For me, choosing the Bambu Supertak plate settings has been the best fit. The Frostbite grabs onto PLA and PETG FAR better than any of the other brands of plates I've tried, including Bambu's plates. That's what I wanted above all else... Lot's of stickability. As a side beneift I can also print the same PLA/PETG filaments at lower temperatures that save energy and still stick. Now the downside to this is that this plate is only a tacky cool plate that can not run much of anything other than PLA/PETG. And it absolutely can not be set to higher temps or the surface of it is ruined. Also you absolutely should not clean the surface with alcohol or harsh chemicals at all. Soap (with little to no residue, like Dawn dishwashing detergeant) and water only. Use a sponge or microfiber cloth under the water to avoid scratching it. Don't use a brush. Alcohol will definately damage the surface. Also do not scratch up the surface of this plate by using a sharp edge to remove parts from it. You must wait till the plate has cooled a bit to release the parts easily. If you pry off a part from the plate especially when still hot, you will damage the surface of the plate. Be patient and wait for a cooldown time before removing the parts from the plate. So wear and tear on these Frostbite plates are more of a concern if you are not careful in their use. Also in time, the surface coating will wear way and the plate will need replacing as it just won't stick or release like it used to. Some people report this happening in mere months and others say they have put a thousand hours on them without issue. I haven't had mine long enough to make a judgment now. I do like this Frostbite build plate much better than the Glacier or the Bambu Textured PEI for PLA/PETG filaments. It's also a different texture than those other plates. So sometimes I will choose which one I use by the texture I want or don't want on the bottom of the print. But for my high temp engineering filaments the Frostbite is useless. The filament type restrictions and required careful use and cleaning warranted a single star rating reduction. Overall a great build plate for PLA/PETG only if you use a bit of care in it's use and cleaning.

With this build plate I can print PLA at 30°C bed temperature. This let me reduce the power draw of the printer so that I am able to run this printer on a 1100VA computer UPS without any issue. Edit: this was possible because where I live the room temperature is above 28.

Works really well, just as advertised. I would recommend printing with bed temperatures at the lower end of the recommended temperatures and wait until the plate cools down before trying to remove the print
