Amazing cctv camera, definitely worth a 5*. We've had a few wifi cameras but this one is by far the best. And a great price for what you get. The picture quality is amazing and seems a wider angle than other cctvs. The sound is crystal clear. Connected to our wifi 6 router perfectly with no delays, unlike previous cctv we had some problems with connection. So quick and easy to set up and install. I always set up the camera indoors as so much easier and if any problems you can sort them in the comfort of indoors. Then install the camera where you would like to put it,making sure you got the view you would like. If you want 24/7 recording and playback you will need to install an sd card as the cloud only takes event recordings. It also comes with 1 month free subscription to the cloud. There's alot of settings to play around with to get the camera how you would like it. Highly recommend this camera. Great value for the money.

I love Tapo cameras. This is my second one as the first one was so simple to install and connect, the app allows you to have up to 36 cameras to be connected to the same device. The video quality is amazing for the price of the camera. I like all the different setting on the camera so you can focus in exactly where you want the camera to pick up any movement. You can also turn on function like person detection, Line crossed detection, camera tampering, you can also turn on a alarm which is great if you see someone on your property. The night vision is great (tip, if you are using the camera pointing out of a window turn off the night mode and then the camera will be able to see out of the glass) I like the LED functioning lights so you and others know that the camera is working. Even though the camera is not the smallest people do not notice it, so its good that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb on your property. Another tip - purchase a good quality Micro SD card as the cheap ones can sometimes cause problems with the camera unable to record. The Tapo app is so easy to use which is a big sell to me as I want to be able to see quickly what is going on outside. Ill defiantly be buying more Tapo cameras in the future.

I have been using the Tapo C510W for more than a year now, and it is perfect for outdoor security. The 2K video clarity is excellent, and it is highly accurate at tracking movement even in absolute darkness. One massive plus is the local storage efficiency; by setting it to record only when movement is detected, I can easily store about 3 months of data on a single 128GB memory card, completely avoiding monthly subscription fees. The only slight issue I’ve noticed with the smart tracking is a small blind spot: if someone passes directly underneath the camera, the tracking cuts out and doesn't carry on following them. However, as long as the movement is a little bit away from the camera, the tracking works perfectly and smoothly. Overall, after a full year in the elements, it’s a brilliant, reliable camera!

First off the bat, very easy to install. I went wireless and it is approx 10 meters and 3 walls away from the router and signal is steady. I was disappointed with the length of the power cable approx 3 meters of black power chord which then connects to approx a foot of white cable outside where the camera is located. I ordered a white 5m extension cable and that resolved the issue of distance from the router to fixed camera location and the white and black cable outside which would have just looked odd for me. Also the benefit of this is the power connection male to female is now indoors out of the elements so that a bonus. MaxSell 3M/5M/10M CCTV 2.1 x 5.5mm White DC 12V Power Extension Cable Male to Female Now the zones you set for the alerts are a bit fiddly. Eventually I forgot those zones and disabled them all and went with "line crossing detection" In this mode you set lines from points/boundaries and if anything crosses a line it starts recording, dead simple. Now I have an alert when someone steps on my drive and the camera then follows them and records. You do need person detection mode ON for this so that needs a zone setting. Once the activity has ended the camera reverts back to its starting position which is really important. I opted for local storage rather than cloud subscription and went with a 256gig sd card. This has been operational for a few days now and with all the playing about and multiple alerts initially I have used 8gig of 256 gig so its ample storage space for my needs. When its full its starts over writing but expect that wont be for some time. Replaying video is very very simple. The SD card needs formatting before use. Before you install the camera install the Tapo App on your phone and the formatting can be done through this app once you have the SD card inserted into the camera (very easy to do). All in all and absolute bargain on prime day and worth the money even if full price. Highly recommend. Will answer any questions you have just ask, tara. SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO micro SD card + SD adapter Quality of picture is pretty good but in all honesty struggle to read number plates beyond my driveway so perhaps 25 feet away its a struggle on the highest resolution but for me I am more concerned about people coming up my drive. The two way audio is okay but louder outside (visitor listening) than on the inside with app (me). I will have a play with that soome more. There is a snazzy option to have AI overlay the live video with subtitles of live conversations on the doorstep and that's just like subtitles on tv. Again hit and miss with that.

These are very good and superb value though it must be noted they need a direct 9 volt power supply, they are not battery powered. The clever bracket allows several mounting options and there is no need for subscriptions as they record to a micro sd card and the recordings can be viewed and downloaded via the app. - there is also a live view option with record and snap shot functions.. Night vision is good and can be enhanced with a switchable light and the camera can be set to track the movement detected. The only little gripe is that the app does not allow individual notification sounds to be assigned to each unit. I bought the first one last September for the front and a second one in March for the back of the house and am delighted with them

Works great and and value for money

Bought several of these as security cameras and to keep an eye on the wildlife coming into our garden. These are easy to install and set up You can review video for the last 24 hours but have to subscribe if you want to keep the video online. The app you use is easy with notifications if you want them. Night in in black and white but works well. Resolution is good and the video easy to watch. Overall very good value for money. The only downside if your going to use it for security is you would need a WiFi connection, our WiFi went off and we lost the cameras for a day. To install you may need to drill through your wall as the power supply comes from an internal plug, you may need a 15mm hole so if you haven't get a long big drill as well
