Brilliant!
Properly good. Reasonable price with a £6 discount. Very clever design, feels sturdy, folds wonderfully, connects instantly. I’m so impressed! The only thing I would like to see added is a little fold down flap to raise the back edge slightly. As you can see I compared it to another brand bought on here but this one is so much better and more compact, the other is very springy to type on and feels cheap in comparison and will be returned.

Brilliant little keyboard
Brilliant little keyboard. Fits in a jacket pocket and is slightly larger than an IPhone 13 or equivalent. In regard to use case, I use the XK01 as my remote desktop keyboard when away from home and it is arguably the best travel keyboard out there, however I was finding it was a bit too bulky to carry with me when I was out for the afternoon and I wanted to leave my laptop/ remote setup in situ. The new XK04 is a keyboard I can see as something that can fill this gap, as this is a perfect size to carry in a jacket pocket for when I'm working from a cafe with my phone as my main note taking device. Although I've only had this keyboard for a few hours, ProtoArc's XK04 is very similar in its overall appearance to a generic folding keyboard I've been using recently, but it appears to be more refined in design, use of materials, key travel and overall usability. My only minor criticism would be the size of the function row, as I think this could be smaller in future revisions to allow for the main keys to be slightly larger, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall this keyboard is much better than other offerings I've seen to date at this size/ form factor. Definitely recommend.

Good Short Travel Keyboard
I ordered this to replace my Samsung Trio 500 keyboard which I mainly use with the tablet but occasionally use in my office setup. I wanted a small, foldable keyboard to use on the go as part of my editing flow as well as part of my office setup, and on paper this keyboard seemed to fit the bill. When the keyboard arrived, I was really impressed with the quality and feel of it. It folded to a really small size, ideal for travel and comes with a cover and a phone/tablet stand. Easy to charge and pairing to 3 devices was a doddle. The keys felt sturdy with good feedback for typing. The downside was it was just that little bit too small for me, especially using in an office setup. The other annoyance was the placement of the lower hinge which rubbed against my hand when typing. I think this would a good little keyboard for short term travel use but it didn't quite meet my needs. If it had been a little bit taller I think it would have been just right. As it was I returned it and moved to the ProtoArc XK01. I am only giving this a 4 star due to the hinge as it is still a lovely little keyboard.

Very good and great portability
Full disclosure: I returned this, but only because it didn't fit my specific needs. I think this is an excellent keyboard to take on travels or as a remote working tool. I can touch type and can do so easily on this. Some people complain about the hinge or something getting in the way of the thumb when hitting the space bar - I didn't notice this at all. I wouldn't choose this for a permanent desk setup, but for anything where portability is needed then this would be great. As I say, I returned this. Instead I chose the Doohoeek mini. The Doohoeek isn't as good for typing, though I can touch type on it, but i specifically wanted something ultra portable where portability was more important than typing. I only need it for messaging on my phone whilst on holiday, where I haven't taken a laptop or tablet. I hate writing anything bigger than a short sms on my phone screen. The Doohoeek also won by having no hinge (which I figured potentially, rightly or wrongly, was a point of weakness / future breakage) and by having a built in stand. A neat all in one solution - for my specific needs. Having said that, I would have no hesitation in recommending the ProtoArc if it fits your requirements.

Brilliant
Been using this for a few days now and it’s not been a disappointment, the connection is instant, the design is useful and compact - easy to store out of the way, the buttons function really well all in all a great value for money and if I needed to purchase another I would.

Neat Folding Keyboard - Not So Great for Touch Typing
This is a really-neat, well-designed little keyboard that's easy to love and would be perfect for very-occasional travel use. It's great value for money and seems well built. There are two problems, however. Firstly, the keyboard isn't angled, so that makes it unpleasant for typing. Secondly, there's a hinge (from the folding mechanism) bang in the middle of the bottom edge, right where your thumbs sit in the "home position". Now, if you're a "hunt and peck" typist, that won't be a problem - but for us touch-typists it's a major irritation, and the reason I ended up returning the keyboard. For me, Apple's brilliant "Magic Keyboard" doesn't take up much more volume or weight, so that's what I ended up buying. Windows users may need to find something else.

Superb keyboard-cant recommend enough
Fantastic piece of tech. One of the my best purchases I've ever made.Bought specifically for Steam Deck Oled(Desktop mode) but started using also for phone, playstation,TV,smart projector. Great feature is that I can switch between devices on the fly with Fun+QWE etc.I cannot praise & recommend it enough..From the moment you open the box it feels and looks premium.Hinge operating is satisfying and buttons quiet but clicky enough to get enough feedback when typing.Leds on the right indicate what device you have currently connected (can be 3 programmed simuktaneously )and battery status . it's a no brainer - buy it . And no.im not sponsored.i just.like it so much and I want you too

I needed a good portable keyboard for travel. After looking at various models of foldable keyboards, and based on the reviews, I chose this one. I’m glad I did. The keyboard pairs w/ three separate devices, so I have it paired w/ my iPhone, my iPad and my wife’s iPad. This ability to pair w/ multiple devices offers a wonderful degree of flexibility. One keyboard in the luggage and my wife and I are set. The keyboard appears to be very well made. It folds flat and very compactly. It is light, but the materials appear to be of good quality. I’m expecting good durability. Some reviewers complain that this keyboard is not really suitable for lap use. I disagree. I’m typing this review w/ the keyboard on my lap w/o difficulty. It has sufficient “rigidity” when open so that it doesn’t close up by itself, or even under moderate typing pressure. It would be nice if it had a mechanism that “locked” it open; but honesty, it’s fine as is. The key “travel” is very good and provides an excellent typing experience. My only complaint is that I wish it had illuminated keys. That feature would be very helpful, but even w/o that, this product deserves it’s 5 star rating.

I was looking for a compact keyboard to pair with a small tablet that I could travel with. This has to be the coolest keyboard I have ever seen. It folds into the size of two wallets, or not much bigger than my cell phone. The embedded protective case is a great touch. It paired nearly instantly with my cheap Android tablet and the typing experience is more than I could have hoped for. There is some occasional minor lag which I attribute to the low end tablet more than the keyboard, and no keystrokes were missed. I found I could type almost as fast as I can on my PC full size keyboard. Bonus points for supporting up to three devices that you can easily alternate between. I can potentially pair it with my cell phone too then if I wanted to. Even more bonus points for the basic but effective compact folding stand that is included. I hadn't even considered this and was delighted when I discovered it in the box. Even the packaging was compact and well engineered. The keyboard is thin and light, yet feels sturdy and is a pleasure to type on. I am excited for my travels and can't wait to use it now. I am sure I can find other great use cases for it too. I had briefly considered purchasing a cheap Chromebook instead of this combo, but I am so glad I didn't. This combo of tablet and separate keyboard gives me the best of both worlds as well as shaving off precious weight during my trip.
