It’s peasant gruel. Sounds elitist to bash a food item like this, but it is what it is. Almost flavorless, unappealing textures, gross to look at. Easy to prepare: Just glop it out of the box into a microwave-safe dish. If you can finish a serving, it fills you up. If you’re on a very low budget & haven’t researched other options, & have zero time for other microwave meals, it might be worth it.

I ordered these as I was preparing for surgery and easy meals. They tasted horrible.

Just ok flavor; I didn’t taste much Terriaki. But it is very quick and easy.

The smell when opened should have provided a clue....but I went ahead and heated it up anyway. Bad idea! The stuff tastes just like it smells. Can't place the odor, but it's not pleasant at all. Horrible taste. Fed it to my dog....who turned up his nose and left it as well. Tried a second time, adding soy sauce. Nope. Did not help at all. This is just nasty stuff.

It’s really convenient for this, just heat up and eat. Would I buy it again?? Maybe if I was paid to eat it but otherwise no. I rather make it from scratch but it was still really good. And I wish it was cheaper but it’s okay.

I have to admit, this chicken teriyaki rice sounded really good and nutritious. I decided to give it a try. I really, really wanted to like it. Boy, was I wrong. I had 3 bites, trying to tell myself it couldn't be this bad. Yuck, it was nasty. Even though it had chicken in it, even my dog wouldn't eat it - she sniffed it and walked away. Since it's not returnable and it came as a package of 3, I'm giving the remaining 2 meals to a food bank. Maybe someone else will find it edible.
