Replacement Whirlpool Dishwasher Pump W10348269 & 8558995

Bought this to help fix my kitchenaid dishwasher that was draining properly. Dishwasher had standing water after a cycle. I cleaned out to washer and found some glass and toothpicks in the pump area. After that I thought problem was fixed. The next cycle had less water but still water. The motor seemed to work but was making a loud noise. I assume it had burnt out from being clogged. I saw that my model dishwasher is about $900 so before ditching the dishwasher I thought I would try a new motor. Installation took about 15 minutes and it worked. This diswasher has a new lease on life. If you have a kitchen aid dishwasher you will most likely have to pull the diswasher out and lay it on its side to change the motor. With other dishwashers you are able to change the motor without pulling it out. Unfortunately for the kitchenaid architect series you have to pull out the dishwasher. This will involve disconnecting the drain line, electrical line, and fill line. I also had to reset the circuit board by alternately pressing the high temp scrub and heat dry buttons five times. Other then that it was a breeze to replace and the diswasher is working great.

Dishwasher would sometimes not drain. Had to shake the drain hose and usually it would drain. Did this for a few months and then got to doing it multiple times a week. Decided to replace the pump. Install is super easy and you don't have to take out the dishwasher to get to it. Remove the hose, unplug and press the locking tab down, twist, and out it comes. The original I removed only had 4 blades on the paddle wheel. This new one has different shaped paddles and twice as many of them. As soon as I started the dishwasher I could hear the difference in the drain. Its much more powerful and the dishes are cleaner. It removes much more of the dirty water and doesn't recycle it like the old one. Worth every penny of the $30. Like a new dishwasher now.

Worked perfectly! Super easy takes 15 minutes. Anyone can do it. Pull clip back to release wiring clip (picture with arrow) then push down on side clip to unlock pump and rotate pump counter clockwise 1/4 turn (picture with arrow). It’s that easy to replace. Make sure the hose is clear of any food particles.

I needed to replace a failed discharge pump in a KitchenAid dish washer. Amazon product description states that it is an updated version of the original pump P/N 8558995C. I ordered the part and it fit perfectly, and only took about 10 minutes to install. My dish washer model requires it to be removed from the cabinet recess to access the back and bottom of the dish washer to service it. In my case this was quite easy to do. Big $$ savings compared to paying for a service repair call or a new dishwasher!

Our Maytag dishwasher was intermittently draining. Found the drain motor was getting really hot. Burn your hand hot. A previous reviewer had mentioned a thermal cutout so that seemed to fit our problem. This part did fix the problem and is pretty easy to install. Just disconnect the connector, depress the lock, turn and pull out. The part I got still had another customers return slip and the wire guide was broken. Since I needed to get this fixed I used it and it works. Used a zip tie to replace the broken wire guide.

For those wondering if this is a knock off part or OEM, it is IDENTICAL to the original. The part is very simple to replace so give it a try. Start by running a drain cycle to empty as much water as possible. Remove the bottom rack, then remove the cylindrical filters and plastic flat screen. The cylinder screen takes a quarter twist out (and you should be cleaning weekly anyways :) and the flat screen just lifts out. Then take a wash cloth and soak up the remaining water in the bottom of the drain area. Then go under and unhook the drain hose. Have a small flat container or lid to catch any water that remains. Then unsnap the small wire connector with the two brown wires. A little lift up on the snap will disengage the connector. Then grab the drain pump and twist the whole mechanism one quarter turn to left. Remove it and do the opposite procedure to replace. Remember to hookup your drain hose and watch it during the first cycle to make sure it was reinstalled properly. 5-10 minutes and that’s it.

This part was an exact match for my Whirlpool dishwasher and was extremely easy to install. The hardest part was uninstalling and reinstalling the actual dishwasher itself in my kitchen. The only thing I would have improved upon was the packaging. The part moved around freely in the box, there was absolutely no protection to shield the part from damage. The product was just as described!

Worked perfectly in our Kenmore 665.13293K114. Water was not draining, we tried all the normal things.. cleaned trap and cleared hoses etc. Decided to try replacing the impeller motor (search YouTube for guides) and bam!!! That was it, apparently these motors can fail after years of use Really happy. Save us a ton of money. -Cheers!

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher was not draining every third or fourth cycle and there were no blockages in the line. I found this product and saw a few videos and thought I would give it a shot. It looks a bit different than the original pump but works and sounds just fine. The great thing is that no special tools or expertise is required to install this. I was intimidated about disconnecting/connecting electrical to the pump but it plugs in just like putting a USB device into your computer. Just make sure you take note of the position of the original pump before you remove it and put the new one in the same position. It took a few tries for me to get it installed tightly, but it wasn't difficult at all. I thought I would have to get a new dishwasher since mine is 10+ years old, but I guess I can wait a few more years. This saved me a lot of money!

Went with this to replace the pump on our aging Kenmore dishwasher. Didn't want to spend a mint, therefore this was priced right and arrived promptly. Direct OE fit and easy replacement. Has been running for a few months now with no issue and no change in pump speed or noise.

works well easy to change, but make sure your drain line is clear! I blew mine out with compressed air, dishwasher works like new now!

Order this as a replacement for my Kenmore dishwasher (part numbers match and manufactures share many of the same parts). This is identical to the original part, and works just as well. There's are fantastic videos online (just search for 'how to replace whirlpool dishwasher pump') that made replacing the part easy.

I bought it hoping it would work for my dishwasher. It fit perfectly, very easy to replace, and worked right away. This was on the portable dishwasher from whirlpool.
