This is a delightful tool. It's easy to use and pumps up tires quickly. I topped up eight automobile tires and used less than 25% of a 2 AH Ryobi battery. It has valve adapters stored on board under the battery. It's quieter than the 12V auto battery powered units, and faster too. You set the pressure and it stops at that pressure automatically. I have a separate tire pressure gauge to check for accuracy, and I haven't checked out the accuracy yet. As long as there is a consistent stable relationship between the tire gauge and the tire pump I will not worry about an offset between the two devices. I will report back if I have any concerns. Why do I call it delightful? It's fun to use and works very well.

If you have Ryobi tools and batteries already, you will find this an inexpensive and easy addition to your collection. I have a compressor and air tank to check car, truck and trailer tires before our RV trailer trips. That long process has become exhausting because of the size and weight of the "portable" compressor. With the battery attached you can hold this device in the palm of your hand. You can take it along with you. If you need a precise pressure use a separate tire gauge for fine tuning. Easy to use, very little noise, you preset target pressure and auto shut off.

This has actually been the most useful tool I've gotten from Ryobi. I throw this in the back of my car and has saved me more than a few times now. It's very compact. Accurate readings and fills up super fast. This is a must have for anyone that has Ryobi batteries. Pretty much lasts forever. Doesn't require much battery. The auto shutoff feature is extremely useful.

I purchased this unit as a replacement for an earlier Ryobi inflator, the pistol-grip type, which I wrecked by ignoring the advice about “duty cycle” – five minutes of rest after five minutes of use. The reason for this caution is that the thing becomes hot, and my old one got so hot in pumping up eight car tires that something inside broke and started rattling. I mention this because this product also has that same duty cycle (top of page 4 in the manual), and this time I’m paying attention. Anyway, is this a good tire pump? Indeed it is, for three reasons: First, it’s much faster than my old one; they aren’t kidding about “high-pressure.” Second, it’s convenient to have the option of auto-stopping when a pressure target is reached. And third – and this was a pleasant surprise – they have somehow gotten around the problem, common with electric tire pumps, of the gauge reading high when the pump is operating, then settling back two or three psi when the pump stops; that is, you’d have to “over-pump” your target, then stop and see what pressure was actually achieved. But this pump is different – it reads the same when pumping as when it’s off. That makes the auto-stop feature work very well. Is it accurate? After inflating the tires on my trusty old Honda Fit, I compared this product's readings to those of my snobbish Longacre Racing tire gauge, and they agreed well. If you’re interested in this product, it’s likely you’re already in the Ryobi One+ system, but if this is your first such product, you’ll need a battery. That’s where the money goes, you’ll find. Yet I recommend sticking with Ryobi-branded batteries, despite the oceans of cheaper knock-offs out there. How powerful does the battery need to be? Well, when I first tried out this pump, the battery I happened to lay my hands on was a big 6Ah unit, which is obviously overkill for this purpose (unless you’re pumping up a fleet of trucks). Still, after inflating four tires, the battery was down one blinking light when placed back on the charger. If I needed a battery just for this guy, I’d probably go with 3Ah or above.

I bought this to keep in the truck and make sure the tires on my mower stay pumped evenly. It is super convenient and functional, and I appreciate the quick attachment feature on the air hose for the hard to reach valve stems on the front castor wheels. Also, for what I use it for, it doesn’t use a whole lot of battery juice, and lasts a while. The “set it and forget it” feature is great for making sure the pressure matches on all the tires. Not having to plug it in is very convenient and allows me to inflate the tires no matter where my mower is. I haven’t tried it on auto tires yet, so I can’t honestly review that aspect, but I’m sure it will work.

First and foremost, I am a very satisfied Ryobi customer. When the need arises, I usually go to Ryobi first either Amazon or Home Depot. As noted by other reviewers this pump is way faster and more PSI than the previous hand held ( pistol grip ) version. I own and use both regular. When reading the functionality of this one, I was eager to use based on the digital read-out, auto shut off, more PSI output, etc. All good. Albeit the one I have is off by at least 2-3 lbs. I know as I've double checked it with two high quality tire pressure gauges ( 1 digital, 1 analog ) that I've used consistently. Whether it just my one pump or not, I would recommend double checking when you first use. Over inflation can be as bad as under inflation.

Love this! I go off roading on the beach with my vehicle and it's important to deflate tires so you don't get stuck. Having this for rapid re-inflation is invaluable. Use on my bikes too. Easy and accurate preset for inflation pressures. Highly recommend this powerful little pump!

Perfect - it topped a tyre up from 1.9 to 2.5 Bar in quickly, it was easy to use and shut itself off once the desired pressure was reached. It’s quieter than the two previous other brands I’ve had. It’s fairly small, so it won’t take up a lot of room in your boot. Given the quality, size and ease of use, I’d say this was value for money. I don’t know how much you can trust the accuracy but this is enough to get you out of trouble if you’ve lost air to a slow puncture of valve leak. Next time I’m doing all the tyres at a garage, I’ll compare it and feedback. I’ve got to say I’m pleased with it - another Ryobi win!
