Our 2 cats love to jump on the counter and drink out of the sink, or topple over cups of water and drink off the counter. We found a circulating fountain nearly eliminated those maddening annoyances. We spent less money on a cheaper fountain than this and it was super noisy and gross to clean and stopped working after only 2 years. We also had to have it close to an outlet which made for some inconveniences. I decided to splurge a bit and get this fountain, even though it really isn't too costly. The design of this thing is FAR superior to the fountain we had before. The mechanism for the water movement is in a place where pet hair is far less likely to clog it up. It is buried in water like in a fish tank, and so it is super quiet. I can't even hear it. The water stays quite clean because most of the water is covered up, yet you're able to tell what the water level is. Our cats love it, it's nice to look at, and my favorite part is that I don't have to have it near an outlet. It comes with a cord that plugs into a USB type outlet. So I am able to put it on top of a little cabinet next the cats food. I plugged it into a power bank, pulled the cord around the back of it and tucked it in the upper drawer (pictured, cord coming around the right side). I just have to charge it once a week.

Got this for my senior girl with kidney disease, hoping to increase her water intake, and boy does it seem to be working! She loves the fountain! It flows well, is incredibly quiet, great size, feels nice and sturdy, and the light is a soft glow which I think helps her find it at night! Highly recommend, it's a pretty fountain to have, really easy to clean with just a few parts, and works great.

Warning! Don't put it in your dishwasher! I've had one of these for about 2 years now, and I put it in the dishwasher and it misshaped it. User error. So I went ahead and got another of the exact same one since I had the filters already. I'll keep the non-misshapen parts as spares in case I ever need them. But anyway, it's a great fountain. My version isn't the stainless steel version, it's all plastic, but that's totally fine with me. It's quiet, I like that the container is see through so you can see how much water the cats have. I change the filter about every 4 weeks. If you didn't know, you can buy a new pump for these. About a year and a half into owning my first one, the pump started crapping out on me. But there's plenty of brands of pumps out there that all do the exact same thing.

The water fountain is perfect for cats that need to have fresh running water. It’s easy to assemble, it’s quiet, it’s easy to clean. You can dump the water out and rinse the fountain itself. There is a chance that the motor can burn out, it hasn’t happened to me but due to my job as a cat sitter, I’ve seen this happen to some of my clients. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the fountain tends to leak while in use. I’ve had this problem in the past with other water fountains, and it could be just me, but that’s my only issue with it.

UPDATE: Lowered this from two stars to one. Purchased this in October 2024 and here it is in December 2024 and this thing is leaking like crazy. My cats kept knocking it over and spilling water everywhere. But today it won't hold water AT ALL. Gone in just a couple of hours, leaving a HUGE wet mess behind. And it wasn't knocked over. My cats (all 4 of them) refused to drink out of it with the tall fountain. However, without that, the water often flows backwards over the edge of the fountain and onto the floor. For the last 2, almost 3, months this has been nothing but a nightmare. I am currently online looking for something better. After reading ratings on many of these, wish me luck... PREVIOUS REVIEW: Bought this for my four cats. They loved the water fountain we had before, but an electronic component got wet and fried it (my fault). So I had to get a new one. Couldn't find the previous model, so I bought this one. It requires more work to clean it. Ok. I knew that when I bought it. BUT, my cats knock it over about every other day now. This thing is top heavy and unbalanced, so pretty much anything they do, they knock it over. At first we thought they were doing it when the water got low, but we check it. When the water drops to about half way between maximum and minimum levels, over it goes. Also, my cats are afraid of it. The previous one had a gentle "bubbling" fountain. The spout scared them to death on this one, so I removed it. But, the fountain also bubbles high up and splashes, especially when the water is at maximum. My cats drink from the ends farthest from the fountain and even then from the very edge of the water. They actually drink less water now than they did before. And every couple of days we have to clean up a huge water mess - even with a mat with decently high edges under it. There's so much water still in it, that it overflows the mat. My old one was NEVER knocked over. Not once. I will NOT be buying this thing again. Way too much trouble and hassle and it doesn't even get my cats to drink enough water like the old one did.

Had this for months now and no complaints. Great for tracking drinking habits. Easy to clean and a full tank is enough for my cats to drink for a week. I would recommend.

Our unit has been working non-stop for 3 years with no motor issues. The only issues are: 1. me (discipline needed to clean it), 2. hard water, 3. the 2 cats that use it.😅 So take a close look at my pic because this is what it will look like after 3 years with average cleaning. It's a lot like having a fish aquarium to clean. You'll want gloves and a soft sponge to clean it. You definitely must change the filter every 2 weeks, even if you can't do the thorough scrub. My cats will stop using it if I don't change the filter. About the water and hard water deposits.... I only put filtered water from the fridge in this (and I change the fridge filter regularly). We have hard water where I live. The edges of the stainless piece and the plastic tub have become covered in water deposits that I can no longer remove. I have put it in the top rack of the dishwasher without problem but it doesn't help with the scale. I've tried vinegar, blue Dawn soap, a sponge, it won't come off. I'd give this unit 5 stars if somebody could tell me how to eliminate this permanent staining/scale with something that will be safe for my cats. But I dislike it's appearance with the edge staining and stuck on debris. My cats have never gotten feline acne from this despite the plastic parts. They both like it. My cats are long-haired so long hair gets stuck on the edges of it. One cat tries to stand in it if I put it on the ground, but if I put it up on a countertop he does not. I do notice that the cats tend to drink from it right after I refill it and I'm not sure why - maybe they like the cold temp of the fresh water? Maybe it needed a refresh? Petlibro seems to be dominating the pet water fountain market and I would buy from them again. I like the filters I buy from them and they are easy to order. I would like an all stainless model - but only if somebody could prove to me that the stainless would stay cleaner than this model. But the one stainless piece in mine is just as bad as the plastic pieces.

This water fountain is nice but I have had some trouble with it. I can't seem to get the weight calibration right on it. Customer Services says that I only need to do it once but I have never been able to do it once. The fountain doesn't run all the time which for some might sound great but for me, sometimes the fountain is full and my cats are unable to drink from it. I house sit so I'm not home every night and I am often worried if they are getting enough water. I also hate that I have to pay to see how often my cats are drinking from it. When you first get the bowl I guess you get a 30 day trial but the price they want is outrageous for tracking water intake. If I would have known this I would have stuck with my old bowl. It holds water and is awesome when it works but so far I'm not sold on it.
