100 Hits: The Best 80s / Various

The pandemic has given me the opportunity to listen to more albums and CDs rather than streaming. I had forgotten how much better uncompressed music from these sources sounds versus the streaming services. I have two 5 disc changers I use daily. This 5 disc set makes for a days worth of great music while working at home. Though every song in the set may not have been played on your local Pop music station back in the 80's, it has been nice hearing songs new to me along with the classics you know. It breaks the monotony of only hearing the most popular. I ignored the reviews that complained of a lot of "B" side songs and glad I did. I knew 90% of the songs since I was born in the 70's :) The CDs all played fine in my Yamaha CDC-665 changer from 1994 which can be sensitive at times. My JVC XL-FZ258 changer from 2002 plays everything without issue and plays this set. Music is clear and engineered with a good balance of bass, treble and uniform volume on each song.

A lot of great songs. The music from 70s, 80s and 90s is great to have

This is one of Sony's better 80's compilation CD Box-sets (in regards to song selections). There are a couple of others that are just as good if not better than this one. It is definitely worth having among your other 80's greatest hits CDs!

This 2017 Demon/Sony Music European 5-disc box is quite Brit-centric (lots unheard for the casual U.S. music listener), & R&B/disco leaning. Non-the-less, there’s lots of good tracks here. Disc 1 is 74 minutes, heavy on soft rock; D2 is 78 min., a little more rock-y, & has 5 tracks from other 5-disc sets; D3 is 71 min. w/one song from another comp (Kim Wilde, “Kids in America”), & is a bit new wave-y; D4 is 78 min., mostly disco & R&B; D5 is 78 min., mostly R&B. Sound is great & playback volume between tracks is even. There are a few minor song title glitches w/Windows Media Player. Song title/artist/composer/label/date are listed on each inside flap of the 5-fold cardboard case – title & artist listed on back cover also. Each disc slides into separate open-at-each-end slots & are very hard to slide out – I used a large eraser on the end of a pencil.

I am not too thrilled with this at all. Yes some good 80’s songs on here. However I find myself skipping songs more so than enjoying the cd’s. I don’t know more than half of the music on here. And yes I do know what 80’s music. But the artists are on here are artists I have never heard of or can say they are good songs to enjoy. What I suggest is to make a better 500 disc set of all 80’s music people actually know and like.

As I get older and begin to be one of those people who doesn't like a lot of what the radio is playing, I wanted to get some compilations of songs from my past. This gave me a nice selection at a very attractive price. The goal wasn't to get all of the best of the 1980s, but to get an assortment to bring back memories. This does the trick and is perfect for those of us who still like physical media instead of MP3 files.

I purchased this for one of my employees who was my secret sister for Christmas! She, like me loves 80's music. This has so many good tunes on it and she loved it!

Excellent coffret à un très bon prix, vous y entendrez 100 super chansons connues et moins connues et d’autres que j’entendais pour la première fois, mais surtout quelques chansons interprétées par d’autres chanteurs, chanteuses et groupes. Mais comme il n’y a rien de parfait, Demon Music Group Ltd. ne fait pas exception à la règle. Car comme toutes les grandes maisons de production et de reproduction, il y a toujours plusieurs chansons qui reviennent et que l’on retrouve sur des albums ou coffrets différents. Car ce coffret de 5 CD contient 100 chansons, mais seulement 14 ne se retrouvent pas sur les autres coffrets de la série 100 Hits 80s et autres versions de la même série 100 Hits; Des compilations sortie de 2008 à 2015 par Demon Music Group Ltd. des coffrets que je possédés. Alors si comme moi vous possédez ces coffrets dites-vous que vous-y entendrez que 14 chansons que vous ne possédez pas. Je ne dis pas cela pour vous décourager au contraire. Car si l’on oubli ce détail qui est quand même important, ce coffret est EXCELLENT ainsi que le son et à un très bon prix. De plus dans les 14 chansons que je n’avais pas sur les autres coffrets, 4 d’entre-elles se sont retrouvées parmi le 10 premières du Top Pop Singles USA, 6 parmi le 10 premières du Chart Singles UK, 2 parmi le Top 10 Hot Dance USA, et il y en a 2 qui se sont classées en position supérieur à 10 et inférieur à 100, que ce soit dans le Top Singles USA et le Chart Singles UK. Ce coffret est sorti en 2017 sous étiquette Demon Music Group Ltd. UK. Bonne Écoute !!!!

I Loved this 80s cd it has all the 80s songs I've heard of because some 80s cds I've seen on here have 80s groups and 80s singers I've never heard of or 80s songs I've never heard of too to it's a freshing change to find an 80s cd with all the 80s groups and 80s singers I've heard of 🙂

Hey! Not being held back by when I was in high school, BUT, the music was really good! In fact the best music, in my opinion was back in the 80's, well, the late 70's and 80's! There were a lot of tunes I was familiar with and tunes that I wasn't familiar with on this compilation. Now, I must admit that I wasn't into all that music on the CD back then, but it is good to have a copy of it for my collection and a bunch of the stuff that I didn't know was good too! I will be honest here, the whole CD package wasn't the greatest but ninety-percent was and that is good enough for me! You want some good music? Don't hesitate here, go for it and you will sit down and listen to it and totally enjoy it! See ya!

The delivery was fast (early too) Some very good stuff here. Some was not. As this is a British based compilation, I was not familiar with some of the HITS. Most of the tracks had fairly good sound. The 80s was not my favourite decade for music.
