Versatile, small, and powerful
This light is the bomb. Heckin' good. It'll cost ya a pretty penny, but it performs. Been loving it for both hunting and for work (in ceiling/attic spaces, under stages/in crawlspaces, wiring/soldering/cable management behind racks and just in generally poorly lit closets or other spaces, etc). The battery is long lasting, the footprint is small, the magnet on the tail end of the light is strong, I appreciate that the housing is made from metal and not plastic, and I love the multiple white light settings plus the bright & dim red light settings. The red light settings have been particularly great for dark walks out to the deer blind or tree stand, or early mornings in the parking lot loading gear into the little fishing boat before heading out for waterfowl -not to mention the red light settings can be sustained for an absolutely crazy length of time. Jokes have been made about unleashing the power of the sun when using this on its brightest setting, but that extra bit of brightness really does light up a patch of ground in the woods almost as though it's daylight, which is *great* if ever there's a need for tracking your quarry after sundown and if the trail is sparse. Another thing I really appreciate is the right angle position of the head, since it allows me to clip the light to a shoulder strap or a loop on a backpack or harness (just like like how an old MX991/U flashlight clips onto an ALICE harness) for another hands free option if I don't feel like using the headband to strap the light directly to my head. Note: do compare the charts Olight provides regarding how long different brigtnesses can be sustained. Comparing the outputs and sustained brightnesses of different models really helped me settle on this one (as well as the red light feature, which was something I was specifically looking for, and wish more lights provided) and I have no regrets for it. The brightest setting on any of these can only be sustained for so long and then automatically steps down primarily for cooling purposes, as running too hot for too long could cause damage.

Typical OLight quality
Built like a tank, has the features you want in a headlamp, is SUPER bright, and battery is replaceable and lasts a really long time. I will be using this primarily for automotive and home project work, so the red light is cute but won't get a ton of use. It also includes an SOS light pattern mode that works in either white or red light mode (although how you activate it is slightly different). The head strap is a little tough to get adjusted initially but once it's set, it's not budging. I'd recommend setting it a tiny bit tighter than you're comfortable with so that the headlamp doesn't move when you do. Very happy with it.

Very Powerful 90ยฐ headlamp/ light combo
If I were working as a mechanic, I'm just not sure where I would want to use this light. I'm going through several videos trying to see where this would fit into my life. I have some wave on / wave off super light strip type lights that I use for mechanical work, and if I break one - it won't hurt as much . I'm not sure I want to beat this up under a car or in the garage. The battery is a big 18650 and the light will also work without their proprietary one. Hiking and Biking is where this light shines! Pun intended, It's a little on the heavy side, if you take it off the head band you a have a pretty powerful flashlight. Has a red emitter, a good magnet on the end, so yes, you could use this as a mechanic, but I'd worry about dropping it and chemicals . I think the 4.7 is an honest rating. I own many other Olights, Arkfield Pro, Baton Pro, Marauder mini, to name a few. . I'm just not sure where this fits into my life. If I had a motorcycle, that could be a nice touch. I'm trying to see where other people are using this. The information on the light itself is vast. So, very good hand held 90ยฐ light and headlamp, Most likely an outdoor hiking / biking setting, I hope that helps. With that said, Yes, the light is awesome! (*powerful nice battery) I looked up Perun just for you ^ 1 year edit: it's been useful, I've used it for peeling out cut vinyl wrap, staining tables, laying polyurethane on wood, very good hands free headlight, glad to have it

Tough and quality build
Built very well. The charging method is worth a lot on rechargeable items. The microusb (sp?) ports always fail. The magnet is the way to go. Plus the battery is replaceable. Functions are great. One push on and off plus it comes back on at the same level it was at, except turbo comes on as high and high comes on as medium. I like that feature, as it saves battery and I donโt usually need more than medium. Iโll buy another when I need a second one.

Bright, Durable, and Worth It
I got this Olight flashlight during a Cyber Monday deal for $67, which is an incredible price! At that discount, this light becomes an outstanding buy and offers excellent value for the features it provides. Itโs truly an impressive product. Pros: Versatile Design: This flashlight works exceptionally well both as a handheld light and a headlamp. Itโs clear that a lot of thought went into its design, making it versatile and user-friendly. Powerful Performance: The brightness is remarkable, illuminating even the darkest environments, and the battery life is impressively long, which makes it reliable for extended use. Convenient Charging: The magnetic charging system is very handy and adds to the overall convenience of the product. Cons: Bulky Size: The flashlight is larger and heavier than I expected, making it feel a bit bulky when worn on the head. However, considering the exceptional battery life and brightness, this is a reasonable trade-off. Complex Controls: The functions can be confusing, requiring you to memorize specific sequences to access the settings you want. I wish the interface was more intuitive for easier operation. Overall, this flashlight is a fantastic purchase, especially at the discounted price. Despite its minor drawbacks, its performance and thoughtful design make it a worthwhile investment.

Prefer as hand held but good light
I like that I can use it as a headlamp or handheld. Honestly prefer it as a handheld due to the weight. But happy with the purchase. Uses a special charger. Wish it was a USB C so I didn't have extra chords around. But happy with the light out put and easy to use.

1 Year of use update: still going strong.
Great light worth every Penny. Tough and easy to use. I had one before this, but my car was broken into and it got stolen. So I bought another one march 2025. It's doing great. Daily exposure to harsh chemicals greases and a high drops and falls has not killed it yet. The new headband design is amazing and clips in very easy. Light modes are easy to learn and the proximity sensor is useful in certain instances it's very nice that it's able to be disabled as well. Good water resistance. Easily fits in a pocket or in your glove box but has plenty of power and battery life.
