Buy Structured Finance: Leveraged Buyouts, Project Finance, Asset Finance and Securitization 1 by Larreur, Charles-Henri (ISBN: 9781119371106) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Excellent if you know the basics - The writers of such books have to walk a fine line - too much details, and the book is out of reach for most and gets old fast; not enough details, and it's too generic and doesn't tell you much. This book achieves an (almost) perfect balance between the two: it is very good to tell you all you need to know to start working in these areas (if you are a student or looking for a first job). But it is also super useful if, like me, you have to work on stocks that use these tools and techniques. And the reality is, with the explosion of LBOs and asset finance over the past 20 years, they are literally everywhere. Also - special mention to the real life case studies (Harley Davidson!) Strongly recommend it. Review: Very Insightful - This book is very well written containing ample case studies to illustrate the multiple facets of Structured finance. Each chapter has meaningful content and is given a background in order for anyone who is unfamiliar with the headings to start to understand why and how some of the methods explained in this book are used. Excellent for all types of professionals, whether you are actively seeking to redress your knowledge on certain types of transaction types or you are looking to become a project sponsor and want to understand what creative finance options you might be able to explore, this book is a starting point and a useful guide that gives ideas which could potentially cater to many needs.

Great read for any law student or MBA student interested in the field of finance or banking. This book breaks down the essentials of how structured finance works and impacts the world around us. Overall a very detailed and informative book, while still being easy to understand.

Libro anecdótico y hasta entretenido, pero muy poco técnico y detallado en lo mecanismos de cómo armar fundamentalmente las Finanzas estructuradas. Me queda a deber mucho.

Being a senior finance professional active mostly in real estate, I needed a bit of a refresher on securitization and other forms of structured finance. This book exceeded my expectations. Despite being relatively short compared to more academic iterations published by Wiley, it did the trick and provided an excellent recap. I found the chapters about securitization and private equity (LBOs) particularly illuminating. You can tell the author was/is an investment banker and not some sun-starved academic hiding in his ivory tower; he described structures with such a practical approach that it shines through he has been involved with many of these deals himself. I found it helfpul that he also described key documents and processes associated with these transactions. The illustrative examples such as Milken's high-yield bonds, the funding of the Eiffel tower or David Bowie's securitized rights were instructive and also made for interesting reading. Going deeper into aspects of these forms of structure finance obviously requires more reads, but it still remarkably good as a primer and/or general introduction.
