We had a bug zapper that worked so-so, and it was super noisy. We have family gatherings outside frequently. We needed a bug zapper that worked better, and was quiet. This one gains power from the sun, then comes on at dusk, lasting until daylight the next morning. We needed something that covered a lot of square feet, and this one actually does. We have had a huge reduction in mosquitoes and flies. We also love how quiet it is. We think it's worth every penny we paid for it.

In South Texas, we have a lot of bugs and this item works great. I set it up next to the pool and it works all night long. Pros: so far it has worked without any problems. Setup is straightforward and assembly takes a few minutes. It stays where you put it and it hasn’t got blown over—even in 40mph winds. CONS: depending on how many bugs are in yard, you’ll be cleaning it off every morning. On that note—cleaning off the wire grid is easy as switching the unit off and using a spray hose. After it dries—turn the unit back on. This unit emits a very blue light at night, so place-it where it won’t disturb you.

In a part of the country that is very humid and wet, think hasn’t killed a single mosquito so no signs it actually works. It also is not water proof at all so idk how I would even clean it. After 24hrs one bulb died and where it connects its produces no power. The solar does not charge it. Thing barely last 45mins on a cloudy day or at night. Complete junk and waste of money.

I got this for my son placed it out near we sit and have a fire and sit and chat. Works excellent. Glad I got this for him. Solar power is strong stays on for a long long long time. Good buy.

Works as it should very loud like older zappers

Best bug zapper I've ever seen, it stays on all night sunset to sunrize and zaps the heck outta bugs. Birds come the next day and clean out the bugs.

I bought this "bug zapper" to keep the moths, flying beetles, and tons of other insects that were attracted to my bay of windows and glass doors on my back porch attracted by the flashing TV and living space lights. I live deep in the woods. I have two cats that always want in the back doors (deck) at night and as soon as I open the door, so many insects get into the house. I am absolutely amazed how well this works. I put this on my deck railing top. I put it in mode II (meaning it turns on and off on its own and charges via solar during the day). You can plug it in (USB) but I only did that day one to make sure it was working, otherwise it does its thing day in and day out. Cleaning: Where I live, this unit kills so many flying insects, I clean it every two or three days. The only reason I do it so often is because the "grid" gets filled with dead insects. If anyone has stress tested this unit, that is me. What is so nice is you set the unit on its side and apply a light spray of water from a hose. Flip it over and do the other side and that is it. All of them come out. The directions say wait 5 minutes before turning back on to let the water drip off the bulbs and electric "grid" but I do it in the morning and let it dry while charging during the day. I have started it wet however there was a short period of time that the "grid" cracked and snapped for a few minutes. No harm, no foul, but I think that just puts unneeded use of the unit. So here is the interesting thing about on/off cycle. I live in Virginia. At this time of year, and three weeks ago that I deployed this unit, it would turn itself on around 8:00 pm. Now, three weeks later, it turns itself on around 8:15 as it stays light later. Highly accurate time "to-on". I am an early riser and the unit is still on until roughly 5:00 am. Then it recharges itself. I read so many of the reviews out there. There are some that had a unit that failed early. It happens. I hope my unit continues, it has only been three weeks. However, assuming it lasts at least a year, I would buy another.

Fits as expected. Works. Would definitely buy again, but since I got 8, I think I won't have to for a while. REcommend.

Only handful products deliver what they promise online, this was on such product, for size please don’t go by the pics but check the actual size mentioned, the product was inline with the stated specifications.

Works great. Bugs zapping like crazy. Only issue is the only instructions that came with the item was in a foreign language.
