Protein powder is a tough buy. I've tried a ton of them over the years, and very few have lived up to the hype in their promotional info. Most are in the "okay" category, but I never bought twice. Some I've had to mix with something else to get past their idea of "delicious". I mean, do they even try their own product? Taste is only one part of the equation and, for me, only comes into play once the ingredients are right. OWYN passes the test. No sugar (they use monkfruit), two net carbs, 30g protein, the amino acids, and low saturated fat. Plus, with 27 servings at roughly the same price point as many competitors who offered about 20 servings, that prompted me to try it. I give this product five stars for the overall quality and taste, but I will say it is not the best tasting chocolate protein powder I've ever had. It's good, though I think there are a couple of brands that are slightly better but they have more sugar. So, it's a balance. I continue to buy OWYN because of all the reasons stated, and I also buy others. I like a little variety.

I’ve tried several protein powders over the years, and this OWYN Pro Elite Chocolate has honestly been one of the better tasting ones. The chocolate flavor is smooth and enjoyable without tasting overly artificial or overly sweet. Mixed with almond milk, it blends really well and makes a creamy shake that is easy to drink. One of the biggest positives for me is that it is not chalky and doesn’t leave that unpleasant aftertaste that many protein powders have. It also gives me a nice steady boost of energy and keeps me feeling full longer without feeling heavy. Pros: * Great chocolate flavor * Mixes very well with almond milk * Smooth texture * No chalky taste * No weird aftertaste * Gives good energy * High protein and plant based Keeps me feeling full for many hours Cons: * The scoop tends to be buried all the way at the bottom of the container, which is messy and annoying to dig out * The powder itself is very light and can “poof” into the air easily when scooping or pouring Overall, I would definitely buy this and have it on subscribe and save. The taste and texture alone make it stand out from many other protein powders, and the nutrition profile is excellent. Small packaging annoyances aside, it’s a really solid product.

This is the very best tasting plant based protein powder that i have tried. Not gritty or sandy tasting. Mixes well & has 30 grams of protein. Since my Alpha-gal diagnosis this has been my go-to protein drink. Easily digests with no bloating.

I’d give it a 4.5. It is what it set out to be — a plant-based protein powder. It’s not encumbered with a bunch of additives — no extra vitamins and nutrients — it’s Protein. Simple ingredients though more than beef based powders. Flavor (chocolate): good! It’s a bit sweet for my preference but is ok. Hint of stevia is tastable. Texture: this is my “minus 1 star” item that all vegetable-based protein powders get from me. Primary protein in vegetables is from peas. And no one seems to have discovered a way to eliminate the resulting “mealy texture “ they have. Mixibility: By hand? — meh. By personal blender? — great. Add lots of ice then cover that with cold water. Leave enough room for powder of course, and blend. Makes a thick chocolatey shake. Sodium: rest of my deduction comes from the significant concentration of sodium used. Do the arithmetic — 2 double shakes of this per day plus other food and I was Way over my sodium target. I still buy the pre-mixed version of this product for work lunch. For home I’ve moved on to beef protein powder — slightly different taste but perfect texture.

This is delicious and easy to mix. I really like it and the way it fills me up. Unfortunately, OWYN must have been badly hit by the tariffs and have had to raise their prices past what I can afford. A shame, and with oil and bunker prices going higher for the foreseeable future, I expect even higher prices. The quality is wonderful. I look forward to ordering again once prices settle down.

I've tried quite a few pea protein powders out there. This is the brand I keep coming back to. It has great flavor, sets well on my stomach, blends very easily, doesn't have that terrible chalky mouthfeel a lot of pea proteins have, leaves me feeling full, and makes me feel good about using a product with minimal ingredients.

This powder is very filling and doesn't leave you feeling weighed down. I frequently add my brewed chocolate coffee to it, with ice, and use either my Blender Bottle shaker or a NutriBullet to blend it up. AWESOME! I also have the vanilla OWYN powder on auto-ship, so I'm never out of either flavor.

to be completely honest, this stuff tastes really bad, but there aren’t a lot of other protein powders i’m not allergic to, so good job
