When you bite into one of these vanilla-cream-filled pastries they taste a bit like a puff pastry and then you experience the creamy filling. These seem shelf stable with an expiration date out 6 months so that is good. The ingredients include: Palm oil, sunflower oil, sugar, corn starched, skimmed milk powder, dextrose, white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier, sunflower lecithin, flavorings, vanilla, natural flavorings, emulsifier, sunflower lecithin), wheat flour, vegetable margarine (palm oil, sunflower oil, water), sugar, salt, butter. May contain traces of nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, and soy. These are as good as homemade and are a great idea for dessert with a cup of hot decaf coffee after dinner. I think for an imported product this is a really great value with 16 pastries per package and four large packages! For a total of 64 pastries at 39 cents per pastry. They are sure delicious! Yum! Delicous but a disaster. For such an expensive sweet treat, I would assume the packaging would protect the fragile crisps. Maybe amazon should have used a box instead of a bag? Eating crumbs with a spoon👎

These cookies are the best! you get 16 cookies total, the pastry cream is soft and creamy and sweet like it was fresh and the puff pastry is flakey and buttery and sweet in all the best ways they are not overly sweet there is a great balance, these taste closer to homemade then others on the market. These vanilla cookies are superior then the chocolate ones in my opinion, where the chocolate ones the filling is stiff and on the thicker side where these vanilla ones the filling is creamy and more like a pastry cream or like a velvety soft pudding where it is stiff enough to hold itself inside the cookie and it stays crispy. It is a texture like when peanut butter is warmed slightly when it is so easy to spread, nice and velvety. The price is such a great value they do go fast so I will be a returning customer also they were shipped nice and secure so my cookies didn't break which I really appreciate so thank you.

I bought these after liking the vanilla cream the most from a mixed box. I excitedly waiting for them to come in only to open the box and find the one that has fruit in the middle like a "thumb or glass " cookie. Those were okay in the mixed box, but not something I wanted again. But, here I am with a box full and not "able to return" which I understand, for health reasons but when they mess up and send the wrong type, it should be refundable or they should send the right ones. I paid $10 for vanilla cream filling to recieve fruit filling.... I will purse this further. But just a heads up, even if theyre wrong, you cant return them or have the right ones sent... there are other vendors of the same brand that can give excellent customer satisfaction. Because this one, doesnt care if you get what you paid for, they just want your money. This brand is way too good to have a vendor like this. These are by far the best little pastries and if I'd never had them I probably wouldnt try to again because of the vendor. Taste is VERY authentic. I am Sicilian and this lives up to grandma's. Buy the brand, just not from this vendor

good tasting but too expensive

These are the flakiest, lightest, tenderest cookies I think I've ever had! I love them! Some of them were a bit crumbled, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment I found in them. I'd definitely buy them again, and again and again, but I fear I might already be addicted to them so I will try to restrain myself. But, omg, are they ever lovely! Mmmmm!
