Portable, powerful, well-designed, great value laptop!
Pros: -Understated, premium design -Portability / slim size -All-day battery life -Powerful AAA gaming machine -Great value -USB C charging -Second SSD slot Cons: -Non-upgradable RAM -Speakers -Need to optimize settings to get good battery life. The TUF A14 is a rare breed that can excel at Laptop needs such as portability, all-day battery life, durability, productivity tasks, a minimalist, professional, premium design that can blend in in a conference room, AND can handle AAA gaming! Before finding the TUF A14 I thought I was going to have to settle for either an Ultrabook with limited gaming capability or a bulky, flashy gaming laptop twice the price and size of the A14. This laptop is a real diamond in the rough. The Ryzen 9 HX 370 processor is a top-of-the-line laptop chip and a very efficient power sipper. Paired with the RTX 4060, you can handle basically any game at medium to high settings on the beautiful 2650 x 1600 165Hz display. Sure you are not going to be doing maxed out 4K gaming, but honestly no laptop is. You need a desktop for that. Which, in my book, you might as well buy and drag around over spending twice as much for a 16 or 18 inch chunk of a gaming "laptop" to get a better-than-4060-GPU that is still going to be power-limited over a desktop version. If you are getting a laptop you want to do laptop things like productivity task for 8+ hours without being tethered to a wall outlet. And this thing is so thin a light that it can get dropped in your bag without being noticed. Likewise, I absolutely love the understated design. I want to be able to take this to a classroom or office without multi-colored LEDs blinding people. The dark aluminum exterior and plastic interior with STD-810H durability all feel and look very premium. The ports are all I need and more. Being able to top off the battery with the same USB-C charger I use for my phone is great. And the second SSD slot is rare on much larger and more expense laptops, something I am thrilled to have. I added a 4TB SSD giving me 6TB total! I now have a portable instance of my media server in this slim 14 inch chassis! It has a great keyboard and trackpad and manages heat very well with it's ventilation design. The fan noise is inaudible when doing regular tasks and can be tuned to your preferences while gaming. There are a few downsides like the soldered / non-upgradable RAM, making the 32GB variation the only acceptable choice to me. The speakers, while able to get loud enough, have poor sound quality. Lastly, you will need to do some tuning / optimizing settings to get the most out of it, especially the battery life. Out of the box, the dedicated GPU kept powering up for productivity tasks like web browsing, needlessly draining the battery. I ended up having to replace the ASUS "Armory Crate" software with the third party "G-Helper" to properly configure the settings. I now get best-in-class 8-10+ hours of battery life doing productivity tasks! Gaming with the 4060 still drains the battery in under 2 hours, but that is to be expected. Those negatives are all very minor, especially at this price point. I don't think I could find a better laptop for my needs at twice this price!

A Very Good Alternative To Asus Zephyrus G14
Its A Very Good Alternative To Asus Zephyrus G14. The 32 GB Version Of TUF Is Priced At G14's 16GB Price. The TUF has a better and faster CPU Compared To G14 (2024 Model). the GPU is the same 4060. (There is a higher GPU model). Both Has Its Own Advantages And Disadvantages. The TUF Has A Plastic Body, No RGB. The G14 Is All Aluminum With RGB & Sounds Better. TUFF has a Faster, & More Power Efficient CPU & Has More Memory For The Price. Both Are Lightweight & Durable. Both Has Some Fan Noise When Playing games / Rendering. Its The Same For All 14" Laptops. Definitely Not For Lap Gaming Due To Heat.

Amazing latop, ridiculously horrible battery life.
This laptop is everything it says it is and more. I would have reated it 5 stars but the battery life is good for about 1 hour. You need to keep this tethered to a power source almost at all times when in use. I use this mainlyu for internet usage, but I also use it for gaming and photo/video editing a lot as well. Even with just browser use, it drains battery ridiculously fast. The laptop is a serious powerhouse and will fit any needs. I can game all the high end games at max resolution and have 0 stuttering or other issues. No lag. When editing, I can do anything I want in Photoshop/lightroom and have 0 issues with lag, or rendering. The display is bright and clear and easy to read. Even in full sunlight I keep the brightness down some because it does get REALLY bright. I can video edit 4k videos in real time and I have no lag whatsoever. Exporting/rendering is super fast. I compared the rendering to my macbook m4 pro and they rendered in equal time. Great latop overal. Also, it does not get hot at all! I couldn;t beleive how cool this thing stays, even when under heavy workload! As for the price, I feel it is definitely worth the 1400 I paid for it!

Worth every penny
I upgraded from a cheap laptop that kept hanging and am glad I did. I don't use it for gaming, but I create a lot of PowerPoint presentations with multiple videos. My old laptop with 8 gigs of RAM could not handle it. It took forever to create the presentations and I worried that someday it would crash when I presented them. Everything is working great now!

Good mid-range gaming/creator laptop
I was looking for both portability and performance from a lightweight laptop. This one is 3.2lbs and has a 14-inch chassis, making it a good choice for people who want gaming performance in a form factor that doesn't create shoulder aches carrying it around. It comes with a specialty charger, but you can also charge it using USB-C (just not as fast as the specialty charger). First off, the display is quite good. The colors are vibrant, the details are crisp, and the high 165Hz refresh rate makes everything seem smooth, whether you're gaming or just scrolling through web pages. The Ryzen 9 processor plus the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card deliver good overall gaming performance. Granted it's not like an RTX 5090 desktop, but for the form factor it does pretty well. You can configure the system to switch between the on-board Ryzen 9 graphics processor and the RTX 4060, so that when you're doing low-performance things like browsing the web you aren't burning cycles on the RTX. And when you're doing a graphics-heavy activity like gaming, the RTX kicks in automatically to give you the performance boost you're paying for. I purchased this for gaming and Unity programming, which requires a lot of 3D modeling and rendering. The system I bought had 32GB of RAM which seems like a good amount for this activity and handles Unity well even though it's a RAM hog. Having an SSD for a hard drive helps a lot as well, I can't imagine trying to load up Unity on a regular HDD. The chassis is a little thicker than many light laptops, they didn't go for thinness. The extra volume I'm guessing is for heat dissipation, which the laptop does well. I haven't noticed any big hot spots, it seems to dissipate heat fairly well. Overall they did a good job balancing heat, volume, weight, and performance. The design is clearly meant for techies, it's a fairly uniform dark grey color and doesn't have the sleekness of other laptops meant for content creators. So buy this for the functionality, but not necessarily for the look. The inclusion of 3 months of Xbox PC Game Pass is a nice bonus. It does have a backlit keyboard (which is a requirement for me), and a webcam (also a requirement) although the quality of the webcam is sub-par, just ok (lighting/contrast isn't great) in video conferences. I would recommend this laptop for: - Semi-serious games - it can run all the recent titles fairly well - Content Creators: The CPU + GPU + RAM + SSD make it a good choice for video editing, graphic design, and other creative tasks. - Tech Professionals: Developers and engineers who need fast hardware for demanding applications. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but I bit the bullet and splurged a little. A month afterwards the price dropped by $250, oh well. I paid around $1750 for it which I think is a bit pricey even for all the big specs (Ryzen 9, RTX 4060, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD). At $1500 it's a fair price, and if you can buy it around $1200 or less I would snag it in an instant.
