Will this shoot plastic bb’s or only the metal ones?

First, the ADVERT SAYS it's a BB rifle! Second, BB's are .177in or 4.49mm Plastic (airsoft) BB's are 6mm So what do you think??? D'uh!

Is this the same as the bushmaster mpw?

Yes. This is the new model from crosman. Dpms was first. Then bushmaster. This one is called the r1. It stripes down just like a real ar into an upper and lower halves. The r1 features the longer barrel like the dpms and also the feature of being able to swap out the grip and buttock with any ar compatible parts.
