Moss (PS4) : desertcart.co.uk: PC & Video Games Review: A Mosst Have Game - Having played the demo of Moss I was excited to experience the full game. What I didn't expect was to be blown away at just how good it is. It exceeded my expectations. It's the best game I have played on PSVR. Yes it is short (I completed it in around 5-6 hours) but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and felt like I had my moneys worth. The visuals are some of the best I've seen on PSVR (I'm playing on the Pro). The music and animations are top notch, especially of Quill, the young mouse who you guide on her adventure. I felt like we created a bond during our journey. High-fiving a mouse has never felt so satisfying. I felt a sense of achievement as we progressed but felt bad when I let Quill die due to my own lack of judgement and carelessness. I loved the environments on each level, especially the wildlife, the huge castle and the church. I found myself standing up in almost every scene to admire my surroundings. The church is where your story begins. There's not much to do there but look around and read the book. Although you might find something interesting if you lay your PSVR to rest.. The biggest surprise of Moss was the ending, or perhaps I should say Quill. I won't spoil it but it made me smile. The story isn't over. Book 2 is inbound and I look forward to our next adventure! (High five Quill!) Simply put, Moss is a beautiful game, full of charm and danger. My favourite game on PSVR which should be experienced by everyone. I give Moss a high-five out of five Review: Excellent! - I'm new to VR and this game is a great introduction to playing in that environment. I'm not much of a gamer generally but bought the VR to play one of my favourites - Wipeout, which although excellent gave me terrible motion sickness. Moss however is very immersive and has great (albeit fairly simple and repetitive) gameplay and I haven't yet experienced the slightest inkling of nausea. It's a puzzle/platform/adventure at heart so if your bag is edge of the seat, shoot em up, high energy gameplay, it's not going to be for you. I found myself pausing just to look around in each new scene and take it all in. The graphics are great, and there's some really lovely touches with the character interactions and gameplay. In short, if you're a huge gamer it might not be for you, but for a middle-aged sporadic Playstation user like me, it's a lovely little game. Worth the sub £20.

Lovely game, a bit short, but with clever puzzles throughout
I spent a couple of hours playing this myself after my 6yo daughter, who I'd bought it for at Xmas, said the controls are too hard for her. It only works with motion controllers, and it's one of the most beautifully designed PS4 games I've played thus far, second only to Deracine. The final stage, where you need to get rid of all the beetles before the final portal is opened, is absolutely brutal - by that I mean difficult; there's nothing gruesome about this game. It's not a very intuitive game, so unless you cheat and read the walkthrough, you'll get stuck early on. The reason that happens is that you forget you're a bystander in it all, able to control certain elements in your surrounding to help the mouse. If it hadn't been for that and the fact you're not given a brief tutorial at the beginning, so that you know how to flip pages and move things, this game would be the best I'd ever seen.

Gorgeous... without the rolling stomach!
If VR leaves your stomach rolling, I’d strongly suggest spending some time with Moss. Beyond being a beautiful narrative adventure built on 3D platforming and puzzling, Moss gives the player an interactive third-person perspective across its lush game world that doesn’t cause any sense of nausea. Character animation and environmental design are stunning throughout, while player manipulations within the game world are straightforward but satisfying. Combat is perhaps a little simplistic but Moss is clearly more centered on storytelling and puzzle solving. A charming experience from start to finish. A must-have for PSVR users.

Too short
It was really nice, just found it too short. If I’d have played this before astrobot then I probably would have scored higher

Almost worth buying the PSVR headset for alone.
If you don't like this game you have no soul. I found the game and the story very charming and immersive. The graphics are beautiful, and Moss is a delight to play along side. The puzzles are fun, and the use of the headset allows you get in and under things to see into Moss's world. It's not a huge game, and there are no blood & guts. If you are just into FPS this won't be for you. For everyone else, this is a perfect game for VR.

What's the big deal?
I swear there are so many paid reviews these days, how this is getting 5 stars, I don't know. Give people a cute little mouse and a womens voice narrating, and all of a sudden it's GOTY. It isn't. It s not ground breaking, and it is barely immersive. It is VR crash bandicoot, and the VR functionality sucks, all you do is move blocks or grab things/enemies. It is probably up there with one of the most hyped boring titles I have on a VR, to going a bunch of others. Do they really need more clues as to how to use this tech. We don't want to just be a spectator, we want full immersion. Maybe if you have a 6 year old girl, they may find it cute, but honestly, it is just a dumb version of crash bandicoot, and a kid would probably get bored with it in a few days. Lame.

Criminally overrated
Tried to like it. Basic & monotonous. I tried to push on but wasn't having fun. Had to stop.

My 8 yr. Old grand daughter loves it. So do I. It's a story of a mouse, and you have to solve puzzles to move on in the game. The graphics on the ps4 pro are amazing. It is not violent, I think.
