i know it's not it's intended use but from the reviews i decided to go for one and get it sent over to the UK. Glad i did as i love it, no paint peeling yet so maybe that's the occasional use it gets. However I did modify mine as i'd done a few cooks with it out of the box new and could see if the hair pin shaped iron (over flame) bars were not keeping my wok about 3" above the flame it could be a good deal hotter so after a bit by bit chop with my metal loppers i ended up cutting down to the circle wall of the burner (that is clearly visible) result was a much quicker/hotter beast with a good upgrade in temperature and swiftness of use for my style (street type wok cooking) so well please with this beast. The welds everyone mentions don't worry me to much with light weight use like this (my wok is a large one) and it's not as if i'm boiling up gallons and gallons of wort like a lot of people that purchase these. Would reccomend and buy again.

Arrived damaged, 2 out of the 4 bolts holding the burner in place were stripped and unusable. Waited 3 months for it to arrive. Disappointing

Unit arrived well-packaged and unlike some reviewers, mine was complete (no missing parts), undamaged and worked perfectly immediately after assembly. The heat this unit produces is impressive. It's like cooking on a jet engine exhaust! If you plan to use this with a wok, go to a restaurant supply house and get a BIG wok, otherwise, you will get excessive heating on the sides of the wok due to the size of the burner ring. I also recommend getting a good pair of heat resistant mitts to wear when using it.

I don't know what the hell thickness, warmth and sheerness in Amazons ratings have to do with the product, however, I can say item was extremely easy to set up, works well in that it got my maple syrup to a rolling boil in no time. Just don't use more than the btu you need so you don't unnecessarily use propane as used at full it will use a lot of propane.

The burner for what I use it for is amazing. One of the nice things I like about it is, it is not that loud. Compare to the burner I usually, which is a jet burner, this thing is very quiet. I am originally from Louisiana, had a large yard and driveway that I could use it on away from others. I now live in Singapore on the ground floor unit of a condominium and when I told my wife my plans, she was absolutely against it and said I would get fined. The first time I used it, she came out on the patio and asked if it was even on. We can sit within about 10 feet of it and have a normal conversation which I could not do with the jet burner back in La. Like many other reviewers have said on here, the flames do come out of the side around the edges of the pot when you really crank it up, but even my burner back in La. did the same thing when you turned it up. I have used it to fry turkeys and boil seafood and it gets water boiling very fast and oil up to temp much quicker than my old burner. I love it and would recommend to anyone.

excellent product, its has become star of our family. we take it to camping, backyard etc. totally worth it!

It took me a while to figure out how to put this together. I had to go to Youtube. Really, it was simple but there were no real instructions. It also took me a while to figure out the temperature control. I don't always want it super hot. I cook outside only so there are times I want to cook an egg over easy or simmer some sauce & need a low setting. I now understand the controls are actually on the propane tank valve. Now that I have it figured out I love it & it works great.
