Love the angle adj. If you shoot NRL22 and/or air rifles these rings allow you to dial in short distance zeroes. On the flip side they allow long distance shots. Pro tip: when adj for angle set the ring height with feeler gauges and write it down. Its just like setting the dope on the scope.

Make sure you get all the screws good and tight! I thought I had, even used a torque wrench, but wasted a shooting outing because they slipped. This is a first for me. These are more prone to slipping than most.

I'd never heard of West Hunter before, but these rings caught my eye while shopping for a scope. The adjustable height and versatility, plus the affordable price, made them worth a try. First off, the machining is excellent. The edges are clean with no imperfections, and the finish has a nice, rugged, matte black look. The rings use four Allen bolts to securely clamp around the scope tube, and they feel rock-solid (torque specs marked on the rings). The lowest setting was perfect for my 30-06, so I didn't need to adjust the height, but it's easy to do if needed. I also appreciated that I didn't need the 1-inch plastic(?) scope tube adapters. The built-in bubble level on one of the rings is handy once you get used to using it. The mounting bolts fit snugly into the Picatinny rail, and tightening them down with the Allen wrench ensures a secure fit. While there aren't recoil stops, the cross bolts do a good job preventing movement. Overall, these rings feel well-made and offer a lot of features for the price. Well these mounts are amazing! I now have bought 7 pairs of them in different colours, the colours are crisp and the machining is perfect. I do custom builds for airsoft players as well many people are not just upgrading, many people want to add aftermarket parts in colour schemes.
