Amazing value on the brushed model. PERFECT ENTRY LEVEL RC FUN for kids or adults.
My son had already purchased the Arrma Fury 223s BLX brushless for normal retail pricing a month earlier. We only run 2S 5000 50c batteries on it and find the brushless to be very fast at 100% setting. So I was expecting this brushed motor to be gutless in comparison. Wow it performed just slightly slower than the brushless version. Brushed at 100% felt like the brushless at 75%. Both were using 2S 5000 50c lipos of the same make. I bought this brushed Fury as an extra for the family to use and I actually wanted the slower performance as young kids would be using it. Also the included NiMH and charger that is included really makes for a great all in one package for those not wanting to spend much. I already bought a bunch of batteries and chargers this last month so I wasn't in need of these but still nice to have. Also the NiMH battery did not have any obvious downsides to the LIPO, it ran a good 20-30mins and felt the same performance wise as LIPO. The battery did get warm after use so I waited about 20mins till I recharged it and it was even warmer after charge was done. Make sure to adjust the jumper switch on the ESC as that will set the minimum voltage allowed for each type of battery. The last strength to consider for new comers is the NiMH being a safer less hassle alternative to the higher performing LIPO batteries. NiMH is a much better type of battery for those that don't want to pay as much attention to the safety concerns of LIPO's. Less risk of fire with NiMH. I haven't done a side by side parts wise but the cheaper brushed version appears to have much of the same parts as the upgraded brushless model. For the 30% off retail price I paid for a this new brushed Fury I am very happy with it. Plenty of speed at 100% for casual RC people or kids, safer battery, basic charger. Just you need to shop for price. The brushless was 43% more expensive without including a battery and charger at the time I bought this. At that price spread the brushed is a very good value because you don't need to nickle and dime the extra battery and charger. But if you can find the brushless on sale like it is now then certainly factor in that value. It's all about what the current pricing is to really determine what is the best value buy. Bottom line if you think you will upgrade anyway to brushless then I would just buy it now but if you want the most affordable option to tinker around and not invest much these brushed RWD combos that include battery can be a very good deal when on sale.

Find truck for beginners. Worth the money!
We absolutely love this ARRMA truck. This is basically a high-end beginners remote control car. Very hard to flip. Goes a decent speed. Very, very fun to race around. Highly recommend this truck for beginners and even guys that have been running them for years. It's just downright fun. The way it turns. Won't flip. Nice truck.

Motor failed after 1 week
This car out of the box was really fun for someone who is a beginner in this hobby. I was running the stock battery for the first couple days and then quickly upgraded to 2s lipos. Definitely woke the car up and made it more fast. I would say it does about 20ish on a full lipo charge. The only negative thing I can see the motor started to have a rlly bad smell after very light usage, I didn’t think much of it because I’m new to this. But the motor started to smoke and eventually just died. This was after using it for 5 mins on the stock battery in the cold. For what this thing costs even for a brushless setup it shouldn’t quit on me after a week of light use. Definitely Disappointed and would recommend only to buy the brushless setup

Best value basher, decent enough track truck
This truck has arguably the best bang for buck if you are looking for a basher that you can take to the track, I love this truck, I bought 3 competing brands at the same time as this, and this was the lowest priced, yet most durable one. I love the clipless body, very fast and easy to get to your chassis. I did have to adjust gear lash because it was quite tight, other than that little ripped right out of the box. Of the four trucks I bought, this was the second fastest one (first place going to a purpose race built RTR that was more expensive and notably out specs this one.) this is hands down a great deal for a RTR. It is an absolute pig on weight, but it's really not a bad thing because the power backs it up. On the track it handled surprisingly well, and honestly if I changed the wheels and tires out for a more turf oriented tire it would've done better. Definitely won't win any races out of the box but has the potential to get there, and this significantly heavier truck will get shoved around alot less upon being bumped. Only reason to rate 4 stars is the shocks came unfilled, the nimh batter gets insanely hot and only lasts me a few laps, and the motor could really use a fan out of the box (which you can purchase, just separately) it's not super race oriented, but also not bad, and can get a lot better on track with some upgrades.
