A very sweet sauce. Perfect with chicken or duck.
Hoisin sauce is the sauce you get from the Chinese if you order crispy duck pancakes. It's a very thick, sweet sauce, which is perfect with poultry. It is not what you would call healthy. It is 60% sugar and 8% salt. So do be aware. It's delicious as an occasional treat, but I don't think I'd want to be eating it everyday. It does contain wheat, so is unsuitable for a gluten free diet. It's main ingredients other than sugar, are soybeans and sesame seeds. It is suitable for vegans. Overall, although not exactly good for you, this is a lovely, thick sticky sweet sauce that makes a beautiful marinade for chicken or duck. Either spread over as is, or make it into a thinner sauce by diluting with water/white wine. I hope you found this review helpful.

Such a good hoisin sauce
I really enjoyed this hoisin sauce as a dipping sauce for rice paper rolls. The last sauce I bought (cant remember the brand) was absolutely terrible, so I was apprehensive about trying this sauce. Thank goodness it is delicious and tasty! Also, Blue Dragon packaging on their sauce is good and sturdy.

H'MMMM very tasty.
Only place I could get it?????? , used to be able to get this at most supermarkets,,, there are other brands but they just don't,, Cut the 'HOISIN'
