Great product.:)
Easy to use Makes resoldering solder flow like water following flux...excellent results..Had to use for an emergency circuit board and 5 chips for a Robotic Surgical Machine and during a 7 hour kidney transplant..Surgery was in progress when it lost use of 2 directions on one of the beams (arms) resoldered using this flux making fast work out of. What could have been a deadly result..Repaired arm..tested. put in new (donated)kidney , Surgeons did thier connecting,,turned on bloodflow..patient was awake and In recovery when i left approx 2 hours after arrival..i asked for Fentynal for my nerves..lol..Recieved great praise from family of patient, Surgeons, and the Co that makes these Surgical Robots..this ones name was Kloe Kidney...I now carry 3 with my soldering torch and iron...buy some..it could save a life...Tom F...field service engineer Pyxis Corp...California..Hospital was In New Haven Ct...Yale:) " I FIXIS THE PYXIS" :)

Good flux but problematic tip dispenser
I am an amateur solderer. When doing research on my new hobby, people recommended Chip Quik. A pen style flux is easy to use and control. However, the tip gets worn very easily, which hinders proper flux application. Aside from that, I like that it's lead free. Customer service is really good. I emailed them about the worn tips and they sent me some replacements. Very nice of them. I'm considering buying their syringe style flux because of their good customer service.

Works well, but I still prefer wax flux
This pen was pretty convenient when I was doing some quick soldering, however after a time I found myself just going back to my old wax consistency flux as it was much more comforting knowing that joints were properly fluxed. The pen seemed like it just didn't get as much flux out as I would have liked it to when I was really trying to perfect my joints. Another issue, as you will see from other comments is that the tip gets frayed really easily as you use it, which makes it harder to get flux where you want it. I personally wouldn't buy this pen again, but it is nice to have now that I already have it. But my opinion would be for people to just use what they are used to over this.

Useless tip
The flux is great. The problems are, it takes a long time to wet the tip with flux. The tip wears down extremely fast, to the point that is a frayed mess. To make matters worse, the tip has a tendency to actually absorb any flux you lay down on your work surface, defeating the purpose of the flux. It is recommended to use a liberal amount of flux to assist in solder flow, and since this barely deposits any flux you may as well not use any at all. If you can successfully extract a good amount of flux onto your work surface, it actually works really well and doesn't make a big, sticky mess like other products. Unfortunately, this pen is not the best applicator.

Excellent way to carry flux! GET IT!
I've been preaching the liquid flux game for a long long time, and have turned many a solder sucker into solder gods. But like many, I hate the cleanup or wasted mess that it creates when you just need something direct or on something not as accessible as a loose item. TADA!!! In comes the flux pen! It was a nice thing to see it comes with a n extra felt replacement tip as well in the event the old one gets dried out or destroyed otherwise. I will buy this again. For the price and quantity as well as the quality, you cannot go wrong with this deal!

Works great. Best of all no mess!
This is so much better than paste flux. You just "write" on your PCB where you're going to solder and it does the job. I shake it up really well so the tip is dripping wet. That seems to get the best joints... Then again I'm still a beginner so I may be wrong. The only con I would say is the the liquid flux dries up on your components fairly quickly so you can't just mark them all first and then solder everything. You'll have to use it on a couple of components, solder those, and then do the next N components. Well worth the money!

Easiest flux ever!
Super simple to use & mess free! I used this coupled with desoldering wire & I was able to replace the lens of my PS2 quickly and with ease. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to work on small projects who donโt want to deal with paste or wax ๐๐ป
