I was really surprised at how small it is. I was initially going to get a little tiny samsung just to plug into my phone but then I saw how fast and compact the higher end had gotten. It IS metal and it feels very well made. The only part you might lose is the USB-A cap but it's on there very tight and definitely won't come out in your pocket. It takes effort. I bought this to use between android, windows, macbook and ios. Media and music production stuff. So I need to use exfat which means to encrypt I have to use a folder encryptor like Cryptomator and make vaults on the drive root. This seems to be working great so far. I've tested between my s24+, windows 11 and macbook pro and everything picked up the drive and was able to treat it as a mounted network share fine. Meaning that I could actually open mobile apps and point to things like my audiobook / movie folders to play from directly, and it worked great. I was worried about that. No complaints at all, zero problems. Came exFAT formatted. I didn't have to do anything. It gets pretty hot transferring but I won't be touching it much.
