Fun and interactive for small kids. I would purchase again.

This box delivers exactly what it promises to. There are 4 activities contained in it: Animal match, Color match, the graphic books and the sounds. The matching activities are well built. They seem to be made out of wood rather than plain paper. This makes it such that it is not easy to bend and thus, the item is very durable. They did a really good job with the printing, and I don't see any part of it that is not properly covered. The books are of comparable quality to other "My first" books that we own. One of them goes over body parts and another goes over colors. The books are sort of basic and to the point. They do have one additional detail where, for example for the body parts, arrows indicate the specific part being shown. That in itself is something I did not see in other books. The sounds are true to the real objects, but do require you to have a device accessible and for your child to not be one that will see a phone and want to grab it. I do like how the sound cards have the sound written out so that it is easier for you to mimic the sound yourself. Overall, I am landing on 4 stars because of the activities themselves rather than the quality of what was received. I will say that it was not advanced or entertaining enough to my child and misses some key Montessori components. The animal cards are on a square and cover the entirety of the picture below, it does not provide self correcting feedback to the child. Therefore, it is on you to potentially interrupt and call out that it is upside down. Additionally, as each animal/shape is a different color, one can pretty much match by the color rather than correctly matching the animal itself. The activity should really be isolated to what we are learning about. The sound cards are a cute idea, but I wish it was something that the child could do by themselves. So overall, you get 2 out of 4 activities that the child can do by themselves and in our case, it went rather quickly. The other activities do require adult involvement/guidance. I find that for the price, it simply was not enough value and for that reason I have given it one less star. If your child is on the younger side of 1yo (mine is almost 2) or haven't had a lot of exposure to this kind of manipulative materials, it may be worth it. But for a child that is slightly older or more exposed, the kit could have included activities that were a bit more challenging.

I got these for my grandson who just turned 1. The flash cards will be good to teach him when hes a few years older and the velcro ones he enjoys pulling off lol. I would probably recommend it for two or older though because he could easily bend the flash cards. I do think it would be a good preschool learning tool.

First of all the value here is off the charts. Knowing what I do now I would pay much more for it. My one year old granddaughter is too young for some of the activities. But even now with adult supervision she is really enjoying it. And the great thing is that as she grows more and more aspects of it will be fun and educational for her. There are tons of cool activities, which teach the little ones about colors, animals, body parts etc. The matching is also cool, and my granddaughter is already learning from it. And the animal sounds are great using my phone! This makes the toy so much better without any additional cost. Everything seems to be made with good quality. This educational toy set comes highly recommended from me!
