I bought this to take on a trip to Southeast Asia, where the water is toxic and the street food may cause irritation. We didn't end up needing it, but I've read that it can help with any kind of tummy troubles, so I'll have it on hand just in case.

I bought this brand based off of the positive reviews of others. While I can’t speak to its quality yet, other reviewers say it’s excellent. Activated Charcoal: a little goes a long way. Once it’s released from the capsule, it forms into a blob of sorts. Molecularly, A.C. is positively charged so negatively charged molecules, like from toxins, will get sucked onto it and remain there until you pass it. It will also pick up yeast die off from a candida cleanse, which is how I’m using it. But good things bind to A.C. too: nutrients, other supplements, vitamins, medications, etc. ‼️IN NO WAY SHOULD YOU JUST “TAKE TWO AFTER A MEAL.”‼️ All your food’s nutrients and other supplements (for me, I’m on a candida cleanse so I am taking the CandiCleanse detox pill- I never should have taken them so close together~ about an hour) To use act. charcoal correctly, you should wait at least 2-3 hours after a meal, 2-3 hours away from any other supplements, meds, etc. How can this brand be so negligent in labeling the product so incorrectly??!! If you’re looking for less gas, you should go with a pro/prebiotic &/or enzyme blend. I read ppl taking this with a meal and that’s just not how this substance should be used. At least I only did this once, but this company should really change the label/ their directions of use. Seems like this company knows nothing about what they’re selling, and frankly, how quality could their products be if they don’t even care about consumer safety with a label’s instructions of use? Anyway, to each his own… I’d rate 1 star but then no one gets to read this important info so I’m putting 4 stars so it stays at the top.

I saw somewhere that these help with hangovers and I was wasted at a wedding and I took two of these when I felt tipsy and sure enough I did not get a hangover, it was like nothing even happened. I didn’t even puke, without these I would have. Was definitely a good purchase. You have to take them after drinking a few drinks though, you can’t take them before drinking because I did that once and they did not work, so if you’re light weight like me take to when you’ve had a couple and you start to feel tipsy. I had plenty of time to experiment and that’s what worked the best for me. The only downside is that your tongue might be black for a little while but It won’t matter anyways because you’ll be drunk my the time you realize.

Good quality charcoal! If you’re unsure why you would take charcoal in a capsule form, let me explain. It’s great if you get food poisoning or a flu bug. It helps absorb all the grossness from your stomach. I generally take charcoal, ginger and acidophilus when I’m sick and it is a great help.
