Very nice drop!
I’ve literally just had a drop of this whiskey (with one ice cube) and I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I found Redbreast beautifully smooth and richly flavoured whiskey, with a gentle sweetness and a subtle hint of spice that adds real depth. It’s well balanced, easy to sip, and feels both comforting and refined with every dram. While it’s not the cheapest bottle on the shelf, the quality more than justifies the price, making it excellent value for money. I would happily purchase it again and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a smooth, characterful Irish whiskey.

In a class of its own.
Doesn't really have that usual whisky/whiskey taste. It's quite unique in my opinion (though my experience of Irish whiskeys in not that wide-ranging). Tastes expensive and smooth.

Great tasting whisky
Excellent Irish whisky,as good as some Scottish malts. Good value, great taste,go for it if you enjoy whisky. Doesn't taste anything like the "Normal" well known, common Irish whiskies

Better than Jameson's !!
I've been working my way through Irish whiskeys recently and my favourite by a longshot was Jameson's until I tried Midletons Very Rare and Redbreast 12 as both are even sweeter & just as smooth but even denser (kind of like comparing a smooth and creamy pint of Guinness in England to a smooth and silky pint of Guinness in Dublin) - and here's my edited rankings of the tastiest Irish whiskeys I've tried upto now 1: Midleton's Very Rare Irish Whiskey: Leaves a lovely choc/orange/coffee-like taste in my gullet and is extremely tasty but at £180+ per 70cl it's a rare sweet treat. 2. Redbreast 12 year old - this is almost as good as my number 1 but over 3 times cheaper and just as Midletons is sweet this one has a sherry undertone. 3: Powers "Gold Label Distillers Cut": For a 43%er it goes down real well and has a much sweeter taste than Powers Gold Label 40%. 4. Green Spot: There's no particular "taste" to this that you can savour unlike my top 3 but it doesn't have any nasty aftertaste & goes down real well 5. Jameson's: Nice and smooth but much less tasty than my top 2 and I've kinda gone off it after discovering aforementioned 4 whiskey brands. 6: Tullamore Dew. 7: Powers Gold Label. 8. Bushmills. 9. Redbreast 15 (at 46% abv it's too fricken strong + it gave me a sore throat for 5 fricken days after !!). 10. Writer's Tears Copper Pot: Only reason I've put this last is coz Copper Pot whiskeys don't agree with my gullet and eventhough it's muchmore drinkable than the likes of Haig Club Scotch and Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack (which both taste like meths & make me puke after 2 glasses) it still made me sick next morning due to its Copper-like aftertaste in my gullet. I've yet to try Connemara whiskey but WILL NOT be trying Connacht, Red Spot, Blue Spot + Yellow Spot whiskeys as anything over 43% abv is far too strong - but Midleton's Very Rare Irish Whiskey and Redbreast 12yo are so tasty it's difficult to try others compared to how disappointed I was with the 40% Powers Gold Label.

Excellent Whiskey But Presentation Box Poor
I purchased this Redbreast Irish whiskey after researching it and reading lots of positive reviews. It’s not a cheap whiskey but I got it for my son’s recent birthday. He loves it, but it arrived at my house with the presentation box open and the corners damaged, not damaged from transit to me via Amazon but poor handling prior. I hope the whiskey company looks into packaging the box better so it arrives perfect, I note I’m not the only one to get a damaged box. The whiskey bottle itself is perfect. The contents I’m told are ideal for sipping on a chilly evening by the fire, it’s a smooth quality whiskey my son appreciates as a collector of good Irish whiskey. 4 stars though for the poor presentation gift box which spoils the quality when gifting.

Smooth sipping with depth and intensity.
This is a deep, delicious Irish Whiskey that is smooth and approachable. Intense aromas of dark fruit. The taste is powerful and has a pleasing complexity on the finish. Word of warning, do not dilute or pour on ice. Water will kill most of the flavour and aroma instantly, if you want a mixing whisky, buy something cheaper and suited to it. This is a glorious whiskey neat but weakened heavily by so much as a drop of water or mixer.

EXCELENTE
