Professional tool for the professional mechanic and us DIYers
After learning that for some simple maintenance, on my 2022 Subaru Outback, I needed a bidirectional scan tool, I began looking for the best scan tool for me. After spending many hours comparing scan tools, viewing YouTube videos, contacting customer service at different companies for detailed lists of functionalities available for my car, I decided to purchase the Xtool IP919Pro. This tool gave me all the features I needed, at a reasonable price. Here are a few reasons as to why I chose the IP919Pro. 1. It came with three years of software updates. The annual software updates can be pricey. Getting three years included from the get-go helped me reduce the immediate future costs and allowed me to purchase a higher-level scanner. 2. Customer service. They replied to my inquiries faster than other companies. They followed up in a professional manner. After my purchase they followed up and asked if I needed help, if the tool was working well and to let them know if I encountered problems. 3. Functionality. For my Outback this has all the special functions I was looking for. The Emergency Brake release for brake maintenance. ABS bleeding and manual transmission re-programming for when I replace the transmission fluid. a. Topology—this has the easier topology view that is so much easier to navigate than a normal interface on other scanners. b. The connection to the car is through a wireless WI-FI connection and not blue tooth. It can also connect through a cable for better stability for programming functions. c. 42+ reset services. It has more than comparably priced units. 4. The reviews I watched on YouTube had more positive reviews for Xtool, calling out impressive functionality like Xtool scanners providing even the four digit security codes used for key programming, instead of having to reach out to the dealers to get that by VIN. I have now used the tool to do emergency brake release for brake maintenance and resetting and the tool worked flawlessly. I used it to do a diagnosis of my car, and it flew through the module topology. Very fast. Some of the other tools seen in videos weren’t nearly as fast. It’s a powerful tool that will pay for itself repeatedly as I use it to maintain our vehicles. It came with a quality case. It has a very nice charging stand. Many different adapter connections to different cars. The updates that I’ve done so far have been fast. I’ve had other regular scan tools, and the updates take a little more than what I’m seeing with this tool. It’s an investment, and a need for all of us DIY mechanics, that will help us continue to maintain and work on our cars as much as possible.

Definitely worth the money.
Really great Diagnostic tool. Have been using for a week and so far I like the performance and ease of use. Scans quickly depending on year and make of vehicle. Great battery life will last all day. The wireless VCI is really sweet can move around and not have to be teathered to the vehicle with a cable while scanning vehicle. Have not used Auto Auth yet but will update if I do. I haven't even scratched the surface yet of what this scanner is fully capable of. I am new to high end scanners I'm coming from a 45 dollar OB2 scanner only so being able to diagnose using dealer level access has been a really fun learning experience.

OLD FART buys new tech-went w/ the BEST
The tool is GREAT! But there should be WAY MORE online support and ref material concerning it.OR, maybe I'm just thick,,LOL.Any-1 with modest understandings will gravitate towards the function and results of the IP919PRO.I bought the best I could afford and am glad for that. There is a LEARNING CURVE getting used to it's use.DO NOT get discouraged-it WILL come if you persist. You will learn more than you bargained for in every department. If you bought the tool thinking the tool will just tell you whats wrong,,,,,we may "see YOUR TOOL listed for cheap on FB".If you want to save $$ and repair cars more betterer,,,,,,,hit You Tube,Google, and use the "ALLOW ACCESS" feature of your IP919PRO to get that extra help. The more you use/play with it,,,,the more you'll love it.All I can say is I saved $200 when I installed my 07 Ford EDge computer and did the keys myself. Now,,,it's "RIGHT HERE" to the lock smith,,,hahaha. That was just the first 10 min. of getting it.It's been earning and SAVING me since.Do NOT look for the company to help you,You WILL have to learn<<<YOU CAN DO IT!!! I'm 64,bought this, never had 1 before,,,and LOVE IT.the 3 years free up-dates is good to,,,plan on THAT every other time you use it.Good luck and never give up.FIGHT fight ,FIGHT you'll get it right.

A nice product that undercuts the competition
Great product, it may not have the “big name” but it has all the big features and works awesome. I had a minor hiccup with the internal hardware but customer support was excellent and secure. They worked fast and efficient. I would always recommend this tool because it’s my second purchase too.

Fixed My Mustang's Issue When the Dealership Couldn't — Highly Recommend!
I am by no means an expert mechanic, but I own four cars (two Corollas, a Mustang V6, and a Mustang GT). I recently purchased the GT, and it has a strange issue with the climate control system (I won't go into all the details here). Since the car is under warranty, I took it to the dealership, but they were unable to fix the problem. The dealership performed an evacuation and recharge of the A/C system, though I had a feeling that wouldn’t solve anything. They also replaced two actuators. Altogether, they kept the car for two weeks but still couldn't resolve the issue. Eventually, I decided to purchase a bidirectional scan tool. I already had a good experience with XTool products — I previously used their TPMS scanner to replace my 2011 TPMS sensors without any problems — so I trusted their brand. It turned out to be a great decision. Within just a few hours, I was able to identify and fix the problem myself: one of the actuator arms had snapped out of its joint. No matter how many actuators they replaced, they were never going to fix the problem without addressing that. (See the attached picture where I've marked the location.) The scan tool also comes with plenty of accessories. I really appreciate that it charges by simply being placed on a charging dock — no need to plug it in every time. Overall, this was a very positive experience for me. I would definitely recommend this tool to others. Again, I’m not a professional mechanic, but if you are mechanically inclined, this tool is absolutely worth having.

Not bad, just overpriced with less features
This is ok, doesn't really do much to get honest. I have this the Launch and an Autel ultra lite. In my opinion for mist people the launch is more than enough. I liked the charging dock

Powerful and compared to top name brand penny for dollar in value .
So I’m telling you I not seen anything this won’t do that a snap on does plus it does more . I have programed 11 keys in last ford honda Toyota bladed non bladed gm dodge even done one older bmw in last 3 year first starting with D7 now I using a Ip919 pro ( I think that the model ) . Using the oem side for key programming is not my prefer way . I use the rest function slide of the tool as it seems to be more powerful in pushing the code to the module and programming the keys. As with any scanner u have a learning curve. But the xtool brands all have the same interface they just change in just more or less options ie rest functions screen size hardware but this is a must have brand so buy what can afford and no matter what u buy u will be happy. But id u can budget this pro IP919 model u will be amazed at the speed and power of this thing and it comes with everything u need to use obd1 adapters as well . The range on the WiFi i sit inside the ac while i scan and build a report to print out on my wireless printer to give the customer. The bat is insane is last me 3/4 days id I dont put it in the charger Stand witch is amazing . So if u can buy the IP919 i promise u that it best money u can spend on a scanner . Note sorry for typos and spelling I don’t have my gasses on .
