It's working great. I needed it to connect my second monitor. My graphics card had several DisplayPorts available but had only one HDMI. Cable worked like a champ and there was no requirement to have a data port extender to HDMI.

I recently bought a widescreen monitor with included HDMI-to-HDMI cable. I decided to swap it out for this HDMI/DisplayPort, connecting my laptop docking station (both MacBook and PC) to my monitor - and WOW, what a HUGE improvement. I'm surprised because I wrongly assumed HDMI-only was superior to DisplayPort, but once I hooked it up it almost doubled the available resolution options for my monitor, improved the color and added color options, and enabled HDR support, which I previously thought I didn't have. I did have to do a little configuration for best results, but it seems now that maybe HDMI-DisplayPort is better for many monitor setups like mine, even if HDMI-only connection may still be optimal for other setups (like video only, or specific gaming, so I've read). Glad at least that I tried this cable - the quality is great for the price. Wish I tried them sooner!

Adding two new external monitors to new MacBook Laptop on my desk made this connection perfect. Buy the longer ones when you can, because it's easier to hide extra cord than to be without the length when needed.
