- Space Heaters for Indoor Use, 16 Inch Electric Heater for Large Room

I am a travel nurse and I live out of furnished finders when working. When I had to find housing last minute after a terrible experience with a landlord, I found a listing for an older home that had been remodeled and it looked very nice in pictures and in person. It wasn’t until after I signed my lease and moved in when I realized that the house did not have a central HVAC system. This was because of the age of the house. The only thing that heated and cooled the house was a wall unit that worked fairly well, however, a winter storm hit and frigid, “ arctic”, temps came quick. The wall unit could not keep up and kept going into “defrost mode” and when it did this the house got cold quick. I began looking for heaters, I wasn’t a fan of the thought of depending on one because I know they can be dangerous. I ran across the Dreo brand and saw that they had many positive reviews and features I was looking for. Auto shut off if the unit was tipped over, thermostat control, oscillating, remote controlled. I caved and bought this model for the living room area, and two smaller models, one for the bedroom and one for the bathroom. When they came I was shocked at how small they were and was skeptical about if they would even be worth it. These heaters are small, but the heat and power they put out is not and they do a very quiet job of it too. So quiet that I at first didn’t even know if it was on and blowing until I felt the air myself. They not only keep the house warm in addition with the wall unit running, but I have noticed I don’t have to run the wall unit as much, it takes the work load off from it, and I’ve even had multiple times where I have had to turn the heaters off because the house gets too warm. Another feature I like that I didn’t realize they all had was that I can switch them over to just a regular fan mode and it circulates the air. Very nice, very powerful, and very nice looking as well. I highly recommend this brand. They saved me and my pups from freezing to death this winter.

Just love this space heater. Puts out excellent heat & keeps any room in the house warm. The remote makes it so convenient to not have to get up to make changes & the swivel action & power features make it a joy to have around

I purchased this heater in December 2023 and have used it for about two years. Initially, it worked well and provided sufficient warmth for the room. However, after this winter, its performance noticeably declined. While it still blows warm air, it no longer heats the room effectively as it did before, which ultimately required me to replace it. I decide to replace it with an Lasko space heater this time, as one I own over ten years is still functioning reliably.) Overall, this heater is still a good option if you’re looking for something more aesthetic and well-made in terms of design and build quality, as long as long-term durability isn’t your top priority.

Absolutely LOVE this heater. I have bought oil filled heaters, infra red heaters… ceramic heaters.. I have tried every type and size of heater. And of all the heaters ive ever had… this one is the safest… quietest.. best value for money ive ever spent. This is so quiet.. i had to sit next to it.. and could still barely hear it at all. You can shut the “moving back and forth oscillation”.. and you can also use it as a regular fan in the summer! You can clean the filter should it become clogged. It is super safe…. Small and un obnoxious looking. The only thing i don’t like about it .. but it’s fine.. is the “eco” mode. I tried it at 67..68 degrees. But it would turn on.. sample the air.. and shut off right away. To get my space to stay at 67 or 68 degrees.. i have to turn it up to 75 degrees on eco mode. So the one mode where you can set the temp to exactly where you want it.. is not that accurate. The reason for this is that the temp sensor is close to the heating element and shuts it off prematurely. They tell you this in the instructions. Which… by the way is an actual decent size booklet. This also comes with a fantastic remote. And you can turn off the “beeping” too! I love this heater so much that i just ordered a second identical one for a gift for someone. When you turn this heater on H1 (its not HI.. its H1… don’t make that mistake), H2 or H3… this thing is blistering hot. It will heat even a large space up in minutes but doesn’t shut off at a specific temp when you do this… you have to turn it off yourself on the regular “low.. medium.. high” settings (which are H1 H2 and H3). So.. i always leave it on eco mode with the temp set higher than room temp i wish it to be… You will have to experiment with it on your own. Also.. on eco mode the digital display goes off after a few seconds so it doesn’t bother you if your trying to sleep (but on the H1 H2 and H3 modes… the display stays on.. which is good because it reminds you to shut it when your melting). As far as electrical use.. on eco mode its not running all of the time so it is fantastic! Even better than an oil heater, because when it does come on for a number of minutes it heats the room and shuts off … done..

This heater works perfect for my cubicle at work. I’ve had it for a year now and it’s been going strong. I have it on all day (10 hours) and it works good. It’s quiet and effective. The size is also perfect for my area.

Alrighty! After 2 and 1/2 days of Full blasting, this machine is great. This is my initial Dreo product and I am pleased. It’s really low noise closer—to what a soft speaker in a library would be or whisper— about 34/40 and wouldn’t be a problem for anyone resting. At its highest settings, 50 decibels, which is a quiet home. Operating is straightforward and the book is understandable. I got this during a point where my furnace went out and glad I did. This thing in a room on high will have yuh sweating 😂. So keep a door open or on low. In the living room it kept things warm within 30 minutes. I would recommend. There was a comment I read that said it’s output changed when not oscillating. I found this not to be the case with my unit. However, it is mentioned under troubleshooting. So they have protocol if that happens. It doesn’t under sale and for its size, lots of power.

Pros: Puts out a surprising amount of heat. Fairly quiet when running but nothing special. Cons: You can only select a temperature to maintain in eco mode. But in eco mode the fan shuts off when the desired temperature is reached and turns back on when the temperature drops. The fan turning on and off is very disruptive to sleep. Customer service says all their fans operate this way. So if you are a light sleeper, take that into consideration. I am aware the fan will run constantly in forced heat mode but then the temperature is not regulated, it just runs all the time. That's not ideal either. Update: It's been 2 months and working great but there is still a distinct smell emitted any time it is turned on.

Ik gebruik de kachel om met thuiswerken mijn werkkamer op 19 graden te houden, dit werkt prima. Het is fijn dat je gewoon een temperatuur kan instellen en hij alleen verwarmt tot die temperatuur bereikt is. De power consumptie is wel redelijk aan de hoge kant maar dat is te verwachten met een elektrische kachel. Ik heb expres dit groter model gepakt omdat hij dezelfde consumptie heeft als de kleinere variant maar met een grotere kamer staat hij dan ook minder lang aan.

So if you want a "ceramic electrical heater that works" look no further !! We ordered 1 at first so we didn't need to worry about returning 2 items if the heaters turned out to be junk. We will gladly be ordering another one of the Dreo Space Heaters.. This Dreo pumps out the heat like crazy!! Its built in shut off safety features are great if you have pets or distracted people walking around.. Some people complain about the smell and truth be told its not that bad. Its NORMAL for any heater to give off fumes when its new!!. After about 5-7 minutes of run time the fumes already began dissipating.. Open a window if the smell bothers you for the first time you start the heater.. "Stars 5/5, & highly recommended !!

Works great it's a great little heater and so far hasn't given me any trouble and I had it for about a year ish. I think I could have got a cheaper brand at Walmart or something but I really needed it and I was cold. It's not loud at all which I really like and it has different settings so it can really blast the heat if you want and it heats up quickly

Le radiateur et les matériaux semblent de qualité. Plus grand que d'autres chauffages céramique, du coup la ventilation est très correcte, tout en restant relativement discrète. Le câble d'alimentation est plus grand que sur d'autres produits concurrents ~1m70 /1m80. Seul bémol, la minuterie va d'heures en heures. impossible dans une salle de bain de le faire s'arrêter après 15mn
