Do you notice a colour change after the redness?

Yes.it does not take long to get a nice tan.

When will the redness go away?

It should right away or without some hours. If it doesn’t, I’d think you got sun burned

It gets hot , I would say more tingling than burning. Probably depending how sensitive your skin is.

Does it contain capsaicin ?

No, capsaicin is not listen in the ingredients. Caffeine is and some citrus extracts - and I suspect a derivative of menthol too.
