Amazing quality , stunning design, easy to use , holds what I need for every trip. To give a background I’m a corporate pilot so I’m on the road every other week upwards of 8 days at a time. So packing for that length of time and different climate zones can be a challenge. I was tired of the common black soft side crew suitcase getting caught on stuff in my plane or airports or even commercial aircraft. It was bulky and not ideal. The Sterling Pacific caught my eye in its elegant design , durability and ease of use. I feel my packing is better organized now due to the divided compartments. This bag is compact but fits perfectly in the aircraft I fly as well as all commercial aircraft perfectly. (Even smaller regional carriers overhead bins) Some reviews complain about the weight , however if you’re used to the bulky crew suitcases this’ll feel much lighter. For the business travelers I highly recommend this suitcase. Im glad I spent the money for this and look forward to long term use.

I initially gave this a 1 star review, but revising because not only did they fix the issue, they went above and beyond what any manufacturer has done. As seen in the pictures, I bought the 40l carry on. The first time I took it for a weekend, in the overhead, the hinge popped off. I was aggravated, left a 1 start review here, and emailed them on a sunday complaining. Within *2 hours* -- again, on a sunday --- I got a call from them, and an email. They offered, without me asking, to send me a brand new one. They had read in my email that I was going away again the following weekend, and overnighted it. All without messing around with proof of purchase or verifying the claim-- they just took me at my word. But what REALLY put them over the top, UPS had a delay, and I wasn't going to get the case until after I got on a plane. Again, they called me, *and offered to buy me a competitor carry-on from amazon so i had luggage for my trip*. I didn't need it, I was able to borrow a friends, but this... was over the top customer service. I received the replacement after I got back. I haven't had the opportunity to take it on a trip, but based on their absolutely insane customer support, I revised this to a 5 star review. I'm going to assume for now that the initial issue I had with the hinge was a one-off unfortunate occurrence.

Built like an absolute tank and fits in smaller planes where my Rimowa cabin plus doesn't. Favorite bag, highly recommended.

Keeping things short and succinct: Pros: -Authentic materials (aluminum and leather) -A wonderfully professional aesthetic -Phenomenal lifetime warranty Cons, without mentioning the price: -The price. -The interior divider steals cargo space -The interior is lined with some sort of *basic* fabric -There’s more leather on a single Italian leather shoe than this entire $2500 suitcase -TSA locks feel kind of cheap, but that may be out of SP’s control -No immediately definable innovations outside perhaps manufacturing processes (which are not immediately definable). Ultimately, it is still a basic clamshell suitcase. With a basic extending handle (a slightly wobbly one for $2500). There is no integrated locator device (Air Tag, etc). Zero personalization (not even our name on a leftover piece of scrap leather). No nanoquartz/ “clear bra” protection on the shell to aid in scratch prevention. These cases will not stay in a closet like a Lamborghini in a garage. They will be used, and used often. Sterling Pacific needs to reassess their idea of what the modern professional traveller is, and what we demand besides fancy facades and upper crust branding.
