Efficient, Effective and Quality
This little recovery machine works well to pull down any R134a system. Valving also allows for evacuation and charging through the system. Works great - would buy again. Fantastic customer service as well.

Attn New R454B Contractors and Techs - Adhere to R454B compatible equipment and components
Arrived on time. First R454B heat pump system that had a bad reversing valve. Use only a A2L reclaim tank, with red top indicator and reversing threads or you won't be able to recycle it with your supplier. And as a side note - CatchAll is the only brand that I could find right now that has a R454B bi-directional and one way filter dryer. Do not use non rated R454B components or equipment with this refrigerant. Reclaim unit worked great. Advertised as R454B capable. It did a great job fast. Like the auto shut off once it reached a vacuum. Thanks Vivohome. Great Job from a 20 year HVAC Contractor.

Mission Statement: Don't proof read anything before publication....
Might be a nice unit if it came with the proper ancillary hoses and valves. It was advertised as "nothing additional required for use". It should also be noted that the instructions are confounding and nonsensical. The manual, and all pages within, are totally useless... Clearly the folks that knocked off someone else's product have no clue how this unit should function. Understanding the basic requirement for recovery of refrigerants seems absent from the design and is readily apparent due to the lack of necessary ancillary components. It is also important to know that anyone using this device will discharge refrigerant into the atmosphere. The purge mode instructions state to open the discharge valve after removing the recovery tank hose from the bottle and disconnecting the manifold gages prior to starting the purge cycle.....

You wont find a cheaper unit that does the job this does.
It works... I probably wont use it as much as I originally intended and so I don't know how much long term testing I can do but it does work.

Great powerful machine
I love this machine and I am so glad I went with the one horsepower unit. I was thinking about getting a tall Robin air unit, and it does functions automatically so that you don't have to manually turn knobs and I don't like that because I don't want Electronics on an expensive machine to fail. I like manual stuff. I know it's larger machines are only that large so that they can be wheeled around and store a tank in the back. Since it does not have an oil separator inside of the unit, you should always use your filter of course when recovering refrigerant but always recover the refrigerant and gas form and not liquid so that you can effectively catch any oil mist. Remember that when you are recovering liquid, the oil is dissolved in the liquid. If you are recovering it as a gas from the low pressure side at a slower rate, ensuring that gas and only gas is coming through, you won't really have any oil lift from the system, and the filters will last much longer
