beautiful
Here is a positive product review for the **Tanqueray Rangpur Lime Distilled Gin | 41.3% vol**: "The **Tanqueray Rangpur Lime Distilled Gin** is an exceptional, zesty expression that has become a staple in my home bar. This gin is a masterclass in refreshing citrus, expertly balanced with a smooth, classic core. The secret lies in the **Rangpur lime**, a tangy Indian variety that is actually a hybrid of a mandarin orange and a citron. This unique fruit provides a **bright, lip-smackingly delicious zest** that dominates the aroma and palate. You'll notice a distinct, lively combination of **rangpur lime and juicy mandarin**, framed by subtle, warming notes of **ginger and bay leaf**. The gin is quadruple-distilled, giving it a **clean, silky base** and a smooth, crisp finish. This is not overly sweet; it's a **punchy, authentic citrus** flavor that maintains its character even when mixed. It is perfect for an easy afternoon or a lively evening. I highly recommend serving it over ice with a premium tonic and a fresh slice of lime or a wedge of grapefruit for the ultimate refreshing experience. This gin is a brilliant, high-quality twist on a classic, well worth the investment for its flavour and refreshment value.

Delicate flavour
One of my favourite gins. I like the delicate taste of lime served as a gin and tonic or even with soda water

Perfect if you hate 'flavoured' gins but want to try something new.
I am a bit of a gin snob and, whilst willing to try anything (I know, I'm a real trooper!) I very much veer towards classics such as Tanqueray and steadfastly avoid anything gimmicky which the recent national obsession with gin seems to have encouraged. That's why it's taken me a while to try this Rangpur - one of a series of gins from the brand which also includes Malacca, Sevilla and Lovage - because, well, why would you tamper with gin beyond adding a dash of Fever Tree and waving it casually in the direction of a lemon? You see, I understand how adding rhubarb, cherries, chillies, chocolate etc etc to alcoholic drinks is intended to make that particular drink appeal to people who don't actually like it, but it simultaneously appalls the purists among us. In fact, had this not been on offer in duty free as I passed through on my way home from a business trip, I might never have tried this lovely gin and dismissed it instantly as a 'flavoured' variety and therefore beneath my contempt. Luckily, I was in a daring mood and my bravery paid off as this is absolutely not a 'flavoured' gin as such but a top notch Tanqueray with a hint of Rangpur lime. Well, not even a hint - it's more subtle than that and the lime is more in the nose than on the palate where the citrus element is only just detectable. It's also a lovely sweet gin (in that uniquely bitter-sweet way that only gin manages to be) and carries a bit more of a kick at just over 41% abv. However, it's the taste that counts, so I'll use my other half's reaction after a good slurp of Tanqueray Rangpur and tonic to sum up this product: "Oooh - that's a bit addictive isn't it?" You have been warned!
