Are these lights a direct replacement for the old style recessed can lights?

You must remove the old figure, this isn't the screw in to the socket type.

What size hole saw do i need to cut these in an existing ceilling?

6 3/8. Always 6 3/8. Perfect size to stick the remodel can in with room for adjustments, without a gap. Poke a hole in the center of the circle for your guide and you’re good to go. Or, just trace the template that comes with the remodel can. Fold it in fourths, poke a hole in the center. Use that hole to mark the center of where u want your can light, then trace around the circumference of your template. Cut by hand with drywall saw.

Can i install it in attic and cover it with blown insulation?

The installation instructions say not to cover the device with insulation.

Is "Cool White" the same as "Daylight"?

Hi. Cool white (4000k) is different from daylight (5000k).
