Great Camera with a magnetic base.
I recently purchased the smart hub and decided to also get the garage camera. Both products were very easy to set up and the subscription service is optional. Only if you want to record and back back up. I didn't opt in for that since I only wanted the live view. Picture quality is great and even has night mode. What stands out to me the most is the magnetic for easy mounting. Definitely recommended as a great camera overall not just for the garage. If you have alot of metal around then this is the camera will benefit hugely from that since you can become creative on where you want to place it.

A must have for the garage…
Excellent build quality and very easy to install. The magnetic base is great for installing camera on the existing garage door opener, which is probably the best location for installing it. The MyQ app works well and is easy to use. I’m very pleased and would buy again.

Works well and well designed.
I bought this as part of a cheap security system. Positives, affordable, very easy to install. So far, very impressed with the battery life, good image quality, good range of adjustment. Negative, as with all systems like this, it has a substantial lag to it. For what it is, this is as close to real time viewing as you are going to get without putting serious money into a pro-system and the expense of installation. Additional benefit is that you don't have to mess with SD cards as recording is done on Chamberlain's servers. For me, 100 bucks a year for video access is affordable. Maybe for other people, not so much.

Do not recommend
The jury is still out on this camera. I initially started with one camera. I found the myQ Outdoor Battery Camera easy to install, setup and use. After monitoring the camera for several days, I decided to add 3 more cameras to monitor the area around my house. My experience in the following weeks have been somewhat frustrating. When the cameras are working correctly, they are a pleasure to use. However, I have been experiencing a number of hiccups recently. The first thing I noted is that in high traffic areas, the battery will last only 2 to 3 days before requiring a recharge. To lengthen the battery life, I reduced the sensitivity (range) and created a smaller detection zone to reduce the number of activations. This has doubled the battery life. In less trafficked areas, the camera battery will last for one to two weeks before requiring a recharge. One camera disconnected from my wi-fi network for reasons that are a mystery to me. To reconnect it, I had to reset it not once but three times. Each time I went through the setup routine until I got to the network selection screen. The first two times, the camera refused to connect to my network. Fortunately, it connected on the third attempt and I was able to return the camera to service. Another camera intermittently does not recognize motion. Still another camera recognizes motion but will not record anything. I have tried resetting it twice and reconnecting it to my network but it does not record. This particular camera is going back to Amazon. I have my fingers crossed that the remaining 3 cameras will continue to function normally but time will tell. Update #1: I have discovered another anomaly that potential buyers should be aware of. With 3 cameras connected to my wi-fi network, I noticed that only one camera can be recording at a time. Two of my cameras have overlapping coverage and when one is recording, the other cannot even if has the better angle on the subject. Another problem I encountered is that these cameras will sometimes alert me to activity but fail to record anything. Very frustrating and greatly lowers the value of these cameras. Update #2: A second camera has stopped working. I have tried to recharge it but the charge indicator light does not come on. I have tried doing a hard reset but nothing happens. This camera disconnected from my network after about 14 months of use and now appears to be dead. I really do not recommend these cameras and I'm currently searching for cameras to replace them.

Easiest way to view inside your garage remotely!
One of the easiest tech to install ever. I already had a wifi garage door opener and MyQ app so it was so easy and quick I thought I skipped a step or two. Had a spare outlet by main garage door opener on ceiling and magnetic mount is super strong (see pics). No worry about camera falling off. Even if you route the plug one way so camera is upside down (like mine), there is a setting to flip the camera view 180 degrees. The green dot and MyQ logo is normally on top. Mine in picture is on bottom so had to reverse image. The sensitivity is adjustable but even on a low setting (lower 25%) it can see people and dogs walking on the sidewalk at end of the 30 ft driveway so I modified the sensing area to get less notifications. This worked so well I purchased another camera for the 3rd bay and now can see 75% of my 3 car garage. The automatic nightime setting can see our cars and objects in the garage with no lights. You can choose to turn off notifications when the garage doors are closed which I finally ended up doing. We still come and go loading and unloading cars with garage doors closed until ready to leave so that is nice. Got the prime day deal with 50% off cameras and video storage plan. Storage plan was $99 per year but got it for $49 per year AND it covers ALL cameras current and future! That's only $4 per month to store videos for up to 30 days. Even $8 per month for all camera video storage is a good deal I think. I did buy the optional bracket ($9?) thinking the 3rd bay camera would sit back further to get the area between far side of main garage and entire 3rd bay but the drywall covered ceiling beam has metal underneath and camera attached magnetically. Depending on what you want to cover, you may need the bracket to place camera further back to see more. The field of view is not 180 degrees but close enough and the outer edges curve some but the detail of the images and videos are excellent. The length of power cord is very generous and USB C adapter is included. BTW, if you don't have a wifi garage door opener, you can purchase an add-on for around $50. If you get one compatible with the MyQ app, you can have Amazon deliver to inside your garage for those deliveries you don't want to sit outside if expensive or when weather is questionable. I don't like anything electronic to sit on front porch when it is at or below freezing. Also, you can open your garage doors from anywhere in the world such as when service people need to be let in when you're not there or running late. You can also get a recording of when Amazon delivery person opens door and places item inside for extra peace of mind about deliveries that matter most.

Not suitable for long run, battery last for week then you have to remove and charge again which is pretty inconvenient, would recommend to get wired one which is cheaper comparatively to wireless ones and atleast dont have to keep removing to charge it.

Excelente.

Excellent camera! Works great, notifies me as soon as someone comes near the door or approaches the driveway. Excellent for maintaining your home safe and to know who is at your door.
