Bought as a gift for my two year old niece. She’s not quite old enough to use it properly (loves to throw them though lol). The only downside is that the Velcro is REALLY strong, so she can’t take them apart on her own-needs an adult to help. Well made, nice wood finishes and will hopefully last a long time!

My baby just end up chewing on the pieces, and some of the paint can chip a little. I’d recommend it for a slightly older age.

My 2 year old loves being able to cut. The 4 year old loves it to. The velco has held up for the last 3 months. It also great for teaching them colors, pairing two items together, teaching the names of fruits and veggies nd fine motor skills.

I wanted to purchase some larger wooden food items for my son. He has many of the M & D wood sets but the pieces are quite small. This set is a perfect addition to what he already has. The price is affordable (I paid less than $7), the pieces are large and exactly what is in the pictures, it's just the right amount of pieces to make it a travel set as well (especially with it being so cheap). Honestly, this little basic set will probably get more use than some of the M &D sets because it's the both the perfect size and price to turn my toddler loose with and let him do as he pleases. Also, he has OT and Velcro cutting vegetables/fruits of different sizes are an absolute must have!

Paint chipped on some of the fruit .Just seems little odd that the fruits have half the fruit is faded looking in color. Why not just make each fruit whole the same color. For instance the watermelon half is pink other half is light pink . And the orange half is orange other is almost peach color .
